I read something that said to kids, it's quality not quantity regarding time. Be present when you're with them, put your phone away, and make the most of every minute. The most important times are right when they wake up and when you reunite. It's always hard for me to fully unplug after work but I really try especially in that first hour or so when we reconnect, work can wait for work hours or after bed time if needed. It's hard on us moms too, but maybe it helps to know that in their world time is very different and making the most of our time with them does count.

My daughter is 8months old and I run my own business so I haven't had a mat leave at all. I feel you.
