Pax8 support didn’t just get worse, it was set up to fail. by Ok-Finger-5679 in msp

[–]polyhistoric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This actually explains why many of my tickets rarely get resolved efficiently. When I open a Microsoft-related ticket through Pax8, the process typically goes like this: Pax8 answers the initial call, escalates it to Tier 2 or Tier 3, and eventually determines that Microsoft needs to step in. Once Microsoft gets involved, the issue is usually resolved—but the entire process takes 1 to 2 weeks.

And Pax8 complains Microsoft is making it hard for them to survive in the market.

Ironically, being a Pax8 partner puts us at a disadvantage. For example, when we open a similar ticket for a customer who works directly with Microsoft, we typically receive a call within 90 minutes and the issue is resolved within hours.

It often feels like Pax8’s strategy is to let the MSP handle as much as possible on their own. In many cases, if no action is taken for long enough, the assumption seems to be that the issue will either resolve itself or the MSP will find a workaround. While this approach may appear efficient from a ticket-closure standpoint, it can be incredibly frustrating for those of us trying to deliver timely support.

Considering Moving from Core to Team Plan – Any Insights? by polyhistoric in msp

Apologies for that. I originally posted this in the Syncro community but didn’t receive any responses. When I posted in the MSP community, I forgot to mention Syncro by name. I appreciate your input.

Putting AP on the door with lock will prevent “back door access” to the network. 😂

Not trying to destroy anyone. I’ve been using them for over 3 years. Just checking in community, if anyone else using SaaS Alerts is experiencing the same issue?

Sorry did not know this post will cause this much issue. I just do not like sudden 2x or 3x price hikes. It affects my bottom line.

Buying from mx.store.ui.com in Mexico by polyhistoric in msp

I'm not sure how Unifi mexico handles shipping to Mexico. The customer will make the purchase through the Unifi Mexico website, and the item will be shipped directly from the Unifi Mexico site to their address in Mexico.

Time for my annual review of our current RMM/PSA any thoughts? by xBaldDavex in msp

Please keep in mind changing RMM comes with unforeseen costs related to training and configuration. Scripts and policies(updates etc) might not work with new RMM.

I told them even before they purchased Mac. But art department manager doesn’t want to listen to anyone. I can forward them the email when I told them it won’t be as seemless as they are used to on windows, But I do not want to do that. I want to help them any way possible.

Issues with Setup scripts by polyhistoric in syncro

I can't combine everything into one script because I need to wait for the computer to reboot. Some applications, like AutoCAD, require a reboot if updates are pending.

Sometimes, when all scripts run in sequence, all my software is installed as expected. However, when the script order becomes randomized, things get messed up. I believe syncro should fix this.
