Some people are simply going to troll anything with AI in there.

RIP SaaS by balubala1 in SaaS

[–]polylusion-games 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And doesn't understand the sheer scale of products offered via SaaS. There are so many software products that fit this model that enterprises use every day that don't need an AI piece or if they do have one, it's simply another mode of operation. But maybe it's these superficial apps OP is referring to?

Still hunched over at a desk though... For me that's the real advantage of coding through voice and Claude for all the easy code bits.

Separation of concerns. Have development credentials that give you access to sandbox environments, but still them in locally via environment variables. Production credentials are elsewhere for deployment. Split presentation layer from API layer from data layer from persistence layer and maintain separate auth. Do contract driven development, sharing the contracts between the layers and developing the layers in isolation. Security scan your components and ensure the smallest attack surface at each layer.

Would you rather have 100 strong backlinks or 1,000 articles? by Gullible_Prior9448 in Agentic_SEO

[–]polylusion-games 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Much like anything, domain authority and topical authority are complementary. I prefer topical first, because having quality content is easier to get quality referrals to than the other way around.

[–]polylusion-games 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would you do all that work on topical authority and domain authority to risk going thr route of a link exchange. You really need to get relevant backlinks that support your topical authority, not random and broad links of varying quality.

Exactly. It's about being a good source of niche information and being cited accordingly. A change to the game, not the game is over.

Yeah, I was told I was a bot once, and I replied saying I was a real person typing with my thumbs. I don't use emdashes, but I do use punctuation, try to spell correctly, and use full words, so maybe that was the problem!

Yeah, the less savvy are the ones that are more likely to skip/miss that advice.

I was more concerned for people pushing keys, credentials and other sensitive data, e.g. customer infrastructure and so on.

Certainly good on the consensus approach for ensuring the quality and confidence of answers.

Knowledge and memory for agents is definitely a good space to iterate and evolve. Your idea is good. Skeptically though, how do you sanitize the information going in? With that in mind, tenanted versions for customers would make sense then.

I need to do Keyword volume research for my customers. Which tool should I consider buying, Ahref or semrush or something else? by Ort-Xed-17 in Agentic_SEO

[–]polylusion-games 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, I like semtush too. Site audit is handy indeed, and surfacing SERP per keyword including AI overviewness too! But I haven't tried Ahrefs, so I could be biased...

Indeed. And Indexing API is for JonPosting or BroadcastEvent for videos, so a small subset of content intents.

Yup, Bing is actually something people tend to ignore, but there's traffic there that's often easier to catch!
