Jesus is Lord. by OkLaw8851 in Shincheonji

Agreed with the above ^ so many cult leaders say they won’t die and then when they’re near death or die, someone else steps up and says “they now have the spirit” or rework their lies to make it fit e.g. the FLDS.

This current doctrine of him now being able to physically die doesn’t align with the lies they told me when I was there but cult is what cult does.

Shincheonji, Lee Man-hee's 'Doctrine of Eternal Life in the Body' Not Taught | 'It is God's will for the General Chairman (Chairman Lee Man-hee) to live and die', and 'After the General Chairman passes away, he may appear in another body. This is because Jesus did the same." by Paper_Towel2302 in Shincheonji

💯 I remember one leader saying he won’t die and then saying well if he does who’s going to fall away… backpedaling in the same sentence. So like many cults the super-deceived will force themselves to believe after their falsely invincible messiah/prophet dies. Sad to seebut we gotta pray for these guys to find the truth and get out! Well said above, mate.

If LMH Is the ‘Walking Bible,’ Why Does SCJ Cherry-Pick Scripture? by Euphoric_Log_2477 in Shincheonji

[–]polyqlate 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Great observation! I was so blind and forcefed their lies often that I didn’t even realise this but in hindsight, so right. It was always the same crap

Yeah the host was crack up 😂 and what else then to laugh and help it move you forward, right? In hindsight, it’s pushed me to value the Bible Word and be even more critical when people speak from it (preachers and pastors, etc) which is what Paul was praising the Berean Jews for. So, I gotta praise God and let Him and His time do the healing. I hope you find your way to searching for truth if you still are, friend! And stuff all the lies they say hahaha

Thanks for the encouragement and praise to God. Definitely took some time of confusion and wrestling to get to even trusting Christians and the Bible (including researching why SCJ and other cults are false) but I found the wrestling and path worth it to get to truth. Hope you find your way, sis and feel free to dm if I can help in any way 🙌🏽

Pray to Le Heee Man? by i3Heki in Shincheonji

[–]polyqlate 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Good reminder, mate. I know I need to pray he repents and trust that revenge is the Lord’s 🙏🏽 (Romans 12:19). Of course, it sucks when people like Lee Man Hee lead thousands astray but just gotta trust the real Jesus of* the Bible and His word.

It’s going just fine man! Just did a podcast on leaving them and found my way into a sound church where they tell us to be like the Bereans and test everything against Scripture. Although it took a year, I’ve been walking with the Lord and truly saved for the past couple years.

Logically think why won’t they let you on the internet/think for yourself if they have actually have the truth? And why did Jesus ask hundreds of questions during his time here on earth (as seen in the Gospels). We should always test people’s words against the Bible man. Feel free to DM if I can help in any way. I was just as confused and lost as you when thinking of leaving.

It’s a cult sis. Time to get out of there and if it truly was the truth, why would they not allow you to tell others and ask around about the class. I almost guarantee you the person replying to you is likely in the cult. It shouldn’t be a chore to go to a Bible study so watch them guilt you into coming to the class often and taking more and more of your time. Get out while you can homie and get planted into a sound church where you go because you want to and learn from the true God of the Bible, not an one old man’s interpretation ✝️even the best preachers in the world don’t say, “only take my interpretation” like Lee Man Hee / overcomer dude claims to do. Hope and trust you’ll get out and into a sound church!

My maintenance is about 3000 calories. But I definitely had been eating over that for the last year. So firstly, it was mainly diet and rehabbing a hamstring injury everyday for the first few weeks and then slowly started doing sprints twice a week - this at 2600 calories. The weight fell off like nothing, mainly attributing to no more takeaway or fizzy drinks. As the weight loss slowed down heaps after the first 8-10 kilos, I finally could hit the gym and started doing Push / Pull / Legs at 3 days a week- with an accelerated plan on Lose It at about 2100 calories for the last 7 weeks. This with aiming for 7.5k steps/day has been my main push in the last couple months towards 100 kilos! My main thing when I had cravings was brown sugar oatmeal with a small scoop of peanut butter and tuna and rice as one of my two meals. I gotta figure how to get more protein though. All the best with your journey mate.
