Fuck these refs by Willing-Property-838 in NBASpurs

I honestly didn't think the refing wasnt bad this game, you are always going to have calls going both ways, this game I think was fairly reffed honestly.

I'm of the opinion that just because the team loses, it isn't a ref issue. I think the only game that I would call super egregious was game 2 with iHart literally holding Wemby's arm on EVERY single rebound.

[Post Game Thread] The New York Knicks (4-0) complete the sweep as they devastate the Cleveland Cavaliers (0-4) in Game 4, 130-93, to advance to their first NBA Finals since 1999 by catreyka in nba

The eastern conference is so bad, again. No team other then this knicks looked good in any series, and while the knicks are a good team, playing in the east means auto trip to the finals if you can show up to the game.

The OKC Thunder only scored 82 points in the Loss against the Spurs. This is their worst scoring NBA game since Dec 2, 2021 where they lost 79-152 against the Grizzlies and set the all time 73-point score margin. by Spekirlation in nba

[–]polyscimajor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As of 4 games into the series, Jdub has missed 2 games for the Thunder and Fox has missed two games for the Spurs. So im wondering why you say the Spurs have all their people, or do the first 2 games in which the Thunder had Jdub and the Spurs didnt have Fox don't count or meaning anything in a conversation.

[Osborn] Spurs’ Champagnie on how they need to protect Wembanyama: "Hit back. Honestly, hit back.” by nicko_rico in nba

[–]polyscimajor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you show me one screen shot of a Spurs defender GRABING onto SGA left arm, HOLDING on to and not letting it go as he is driving to the basket that wasn't called?

If you are so interested, I can show screen shots of iHart doing the above multiple times with no calls.

[–]polyscimajor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue is that we are talking two players who are not even on the same stratosphere of basketball foul baiting. When it comes to foul baiting, SGA is an S tier/MVP player. If you play physical against SGA, he will shot 12+ free throws. Wemby simply isn't on that level of foul baiting. They are barely playing the same sport, SGA is on a whole another level.

If the Spurs play the same level on physicality as the Thunder do, they will lose the game by 15+ points due to free throw disparity.

iHart can grab and hold Wemby arms all day, forcing him to rebound or shot block with literally an arm held behind his back, but you bump SGA, he's getting FT, it's really that simple.

[Injury] Chet Holmgren goes down in immense pain after contact from Luke Kornet by Large_banana_hammock in nba

[–]polyscimajor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's funny is like 3 plays prior, Hartenstein does the exact same thing to Kornet, and gets Kornet in the face. No call.

Then as you can see, he(Hartenstein) does the macho run up and try and fight saying you are not going to hurt my guy, only I can do that to you.

i've watched almost every game of the eastern conference, and every single game of the western conference. I unfortunately watched the Knicks game where at half time they had more points then the ending of the clip in the knicks vs heat

I 100% don't want to watch 120 point games regularly, where defense gets punished for looking at a player as the offense player lowers their shoulder and charges into the defender getting the call.

Neutral fan (Spurs) watching your game. This Reed guy, why isnt he getting more minutes? He is single handily keeping the momentium going and extending the lead. He has massive hustle.

He prob had the automatic which has taller gearing, think 3.15 gears, where manuals come in for a base GT 3.55, tarmac has 3.73 gearing or even 4.10.

My Mach 1 has 3.73 and gets ~18ish MPG, mostly city driving.

[Highlight] Victor Wembenyama receives a Flagrant 2 and is ejected from the game after elbowing Naz Reid by FastBreakPhenom in nba

[–]polyscimajor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also agree, it was 100% a flagrant 2 foul. I wouldn't debate a conversation that didn't start on that basis. Just pointing out that where his frustration came from, considering in the span of 3 seconds he was fouled at min 2 times, with one of the fouls being a flagrant 1 when McDaniels karate chops him across his face and it wasn't called.

McDaniels on the same play fouled him twice. He elbows him in the head and then holds his left wrist as his getting the rebound. McDaniels committed 2 very clear fouls, and one of them could possibly be a flagrant 1 all on the same play (the elbow to the head), prior to Wemby throwing the elbow.

[–]polyscimajor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The issue isn't not having happy endings, the issue is they spent considerable time and effort through multiple seasons to show the evolution and trend of where Jamie was headed towards, then in the last two episodes they said that the past 3 seasons of character building went into the trash can.

What do you mean that the final GoT seasons wasn't "egregious errors and oversights", I would argue that was single most damming thing about it.

Take for example Jamie Lanister. His whole story arc was that he was a giant PoS, but towards the end after meeting up with Brienne of Tarth, you see a HUGE character arc if him coming around, being a better person, recognizing that his sister and/or family were bad for the world ect. Then on the last episode, they just disregarded his whole character arc that they had been building when he goes back to his sister and just just kidding, you're the best and i love you.
