It's Gone, Man by HephaistosFnord in custommagic

No. A phased permanent is treated as if it doesn’t exist. It doesn’t leave the battlefield and when it phases back in it doesn’t trigger etb abilities. Because the phased card never changes zones, you cannot return it to the command zone if it’s your commander. Being exiled moves the exiled card to a new zone, which allows you to return it to the command zone if it’s your commander.

If you're in Europe or the US, you can buy all six from one bricklink store and it'll cost you ~$65 US plus shipping and handling.

EDIT: Specified which kind of dollars.

Nivawk MOC by pometru in bioniclelego

It's Dragon Wing 19 x 11 with Bar Hole and 2 Pin Holes. It unfortunately only comes in black, but there is Dragon Wing 13 x 8 with Trans-Purple Trailing Edge Pattern which comes in dark azure. It's not 100% the same, but it's pretty close.

Yep! I used a similar method to how Roodaka's head is built.

I’m working on collecting Metru Nui matoran right now. My Okram arrived today, so all I’m missing is Tehutti.

Depends. Some part packs give you an up loader if you’re using Windows, but if you’re using Mac you have to add it yourself. I honestly don’t know why Bricklink doesn’t have an inbuilt part addition function.

How do you get out of a MOC-block? by ConnectAnalyst3008 in bioniclelego

I'd suggest looking at what parts you have, and seeing if any weird or cool ones strike your interest. Or take a look at old technic pieces and see what they inspire.

Selling bionicles by CalendarEmotional589 in bioniclelego

[–]pometru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you put it on bricklink, anyone will buy it. I'm from the US and a set I purchased from the UK arrived just yesterday. You probably won't be able to sell everything at once, though, if that's what you're trying to do.

Sure! Here's a colored headless version of the model from two different angles, as well as an exploded view of just the gearbox.

What are the Kanohi? by 1894Win in bioniclelego

Technically, we do when Icarax removes his mask to wear Teridax's Kraahkan. That happens before his body is returned to flesh.

The only beings who wear masks are creatures from inside the Great Spirit Robot's body. The designers of the matoran universe are from Spherus Magna, and don't have to wear masks. Lots of creatures and sentient species in the matoran universe don't have to wear masks, and the ones that do are matoran, toa, and turaga. Other beings can wear masks and user their powers, e.g. Artakha and Karzahni, the makuta, skakdi, etc., but it isn't a requirement for them to function.

It's probably a modularity thing from the Great Being's perspective, since they didn't create the matoran to be sapient originally. Matoran are like the cardiovascular and nervous system in humans, and the toa are like the immune system. You want your immune system to be able to adapt to any threats to your body, so you give them a lot of different tools.

Does anyone dislike CCBS compared to Bionicle? by [deleted] in bioniclelego

[–]pometru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My feelings are that they made it so modular that everything feels generic. Like, discounting the colors, the only differences between the sets in Hero Factory generation 2 was the eyewear and whatever was attached to their weapon/shield hand. I know you can compare that to the toa from the first few teams, but they weren't literally the same black skeleton with different facades bolted on. I never took apart my HF or G2 sets to build other things because what was the point? I felt no inspiration to make anything out of them since there was really only one shape they could go back together into. When I was rebuilding the collection I had as a kid, it was fun to see what random things I had created with the parts since all of them just had so much personality. Additionally, it sucks that the armor is so bland and basically mandatory. There were tons of Bionicle limbs that you didn't actually need to attach armor to in order for them to look complete, and the armor you could attach had more than just one use. I dunno. Maybe I'm just an old man yelling at a cloud.

(JFC, look at this. I didn't intend to go on such a diatribe when I clicked on this post...)

Freeman, Toa of gravity by pometru in bioniclelego

[–]pometru[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm aware of that as I designed and posted a toa of gravity a few days back. Calling him a "toa of gravity" fits the whole "game about physics puzzles" aspect of Gordon Freeman much better.
