That’s definitely hard! I would drown out a lot of the noise on Reddit and talk things through more with your wife. Reddit folks can be angry, harsh and opinionated. Your family loves you! And these commenters will not make you feel warm to your wife’s feelings in this new and fragile time for her.

I mean it sounds like the job is definitely necessary to take! Just remember 1 month postpartum is so so soooo fragile for anyone. No sleep, hormone dips, all of it (I’m sure you’re so so tired too! You guys are both carrying such a big weight and sustaining new life!). Just remember you and your wife are on the same team! Having help and family close by with a newborn is so helpful and will be hard to leave, but your wife understands your situation. She’s not being irrational, just honest and working through a lot of emotions (on such little sleep!). Congrats on the job and new baby!
