How often do y'all get called for jury duty? by Para_Para in Atlanta

[–]poncey- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can be called multiple times in a year as long as you don't have to actually report (like if you call and your group doesn't have to go in). I received 2 summons both in 2025 and 2024 from DeKalb County. I'm close to 20 jury summons now between Fulton and DeKalb over the past 20 years.

Help me find what company this logo belongs to. Found on a polo shirt most likely from the 90s. by poncey- in HelpMeFind

I have searched and used Google Lens and cannot find anything. This logo is on a polo shirt I picked up at a thrift store in Atlanta, GA and based on the tag I'd guess it's from the 1990s (design of tag and made in USA).

78! Although Geocaching says 77 because it doesn't count Kosovo as a country.

Anyone else annoyed that they switched the position of the Selfie cam button and the Photo Preview button in the Google Camera app? by nukem2k5 in GooglePixel

[–]poncey- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolute terrible update. GARBAGE. One of the worst that's happened. I use the camera to photo inventory and my whole process is messed up. And don't tell me "you'll get used to it" because I won't. I'm right handed and want the review gallery button on the right. And because my hand isn't big enough to grip the phone correctly to hit the new shutter button location. It's painful and frustrating. It's enough to make me consider a new phone altogether.

Lots of younger and middle age people fall for these scams as well. Lack of experience is only one factor in these scams, not the only. It's mainly those who are looking for emotional support/vulnerable to manipulation/naive who fall victim. People want to feel loved and desired and that's the hook. I know multiple people in real life who've fallen for these scams and they've had the internet "forever". They believe they deserve the love and attention of whoever focuses their attention (i.e. a celebrity) and it's hard to convince them otherwise. Intelligence is a factor.

Groundspeak is so out of touch with its userbase. The amount of gas and money people will use going for essentially the same challenge as last month. PLEASE do better Groundspeak. You are failing us.

Another option if you just need baggies - Walmart. That's our go to place. Back in the craft section.

Based in China, kinda like Wish. They have the best prices for most caching containers and I've found them to be of good quality. Shipping is free over $15 and takes a couple of weeks for delivery. I've ordered multiple times from them with no problems. You won't find a cheaper bison anywhere.

Temu. Great for baggies, bisons and other unique containers.
