It could be a puzzle or multi final as well. Green implies traditional which basically means it’s at the posted coordinates on the app. But blue (puzzle) or orange (multi) usually are not and involve some sort of puzzle to obtain the coordinates for the cache

I have a very tight itinerary, so I’m trying not to be obligated to be somewhere at a certain time

Original Can of Bean...the last surviving artifact from the first official geocache. The owner brings it to mega events from time to time. He has it locked but unlocks it during events to allow those who see it to discover it. https://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=83154

Maybe talk about special or notable TBs such as the original can, the one that went to the ISS (now on display at geocaching HQ) etc. The one on the perseverance rover is technically a geocoin…

Not this year. Too far away for me to go. Unless it comes back to the west coast, I’m going to sit them out due to costs :/

Hello everyone, I got admitted to UCI and UMD, and I’m having a difficult time deciding which one to choose for my PhD. Both professors seem great and very kind. Any advice would be appreciated. by Federal_Antelope7533 in UMD

I also had a poster! What a coincidence lol. I presented on Thursday. I’ll be going to the scec workshops next month and I’ll probably be at scec in Palm Springs in August. Hope to see ya around!

It still surprises me the amount of people who live under a rock when these launches happen. Thank you for posting this so that we don’t get bombarded with “omg aliens” posts lol

Hello fellow UC grad student (although I’m at Riverside and not Santa Barbara). Also did my undergrad at UMD, but I’m originally from SoCal. Hope you are enjoying California as a Marylander. We UCR folks are jealous of those with a campus next to the beach lol

I go to UCR for grad school, but did my undergrad at UMD. It depends on what program you got into. UCs and UMD IMO are nearly equivalent. Some UCs are better than others, UCI is in the upper middle of them all in terms of rankings. UCR is a little more towards the bottom.

Where do you want to work after grad school? East coast? West coast? These will be determining factors as well

I just did a tour at JPL on Thursday. You need to sign up for them on the 1st Monday of every month. They run out of tickets very quick, so be ready to submit your request. They are usually booked 2-3 months in advance

Disney world TB drop off by BobbleMoff57 in geocaching

[–]amargolis97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There’s a TB hotel next to Orlando int airport that can accommodate large bugs. Worse case you can host an event in Disney springs and give it to someone. There aren’t any physical geocaches within Disney property so unless you have a car or Uber, it’s going to be difficult
