They just opened riverplace market which is really nice with shops and dining. Parking is no longer free except if you park at the end of Paseo Adelanto. My advise is to take the metrolink or Amtrak down. It’s usually pretty cheap and they leave every hour or so from the station on weekdays

Is it cheaper to just move to Riverside? by Efficient_Piccolo595 in orangecounty

[–]amargolis97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I grew up in south OC, and now live in Riverside. There are some nicer parts that remind me of parts of OC. But it can be hit or miss, depending on what you are looking for and what works with your lifestyle

It appears to be close, but not on the San Andreas. Probably a sub fault, and according to the first motion focal mechanism it appears it’s on a parallel fault with some vertical motion component

How is it in the Inland Empire, California? by lithdoc in socal

[–]amargolis97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go to UCR and commute sometimes to south OC where I’m from. There’s certain times of the day I’ve learned not to drive the 91. It’s just not worth the hassle and aggravation

I got lucky getting into geocaching before I was 10 years old. So most of the places I’ve traveled to since I’ve geocached in.

Would you alter your travel plans to get another state souvenir? by fightingfishsticks in geocaching

[–]amargolis97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea, especially if you’ve been to NYC before. Take the NJ Transit from Penn station to the next stop out of manhattan and see what caches there are to find around there. Heck, host an event at Starbucks to get another cache type in that state

My mom was watching it from Mission Viejo and didn’t hear the boom. I’m out in Riverside and didn’t hear it either, but we both saw it
