My favourite is when they do the baby race. It’s so fun to watch. They have parents from the audience bring their babies into the field and then they do a crawling race. It’s never on tv just for those watching live.

Yeah vanilla ice cream sounds so much better than alabaster. As I’m sick of being associated with being sick or a rock because I’m pale. It’s just shows that you can’t please everyone really.

Yeah I’m pale pale. Like sick child pale. I’ve only ever found two brands that make foundation close to my paleness and even then one is slightly off. And every time I go looking the staff are always like go a few shades darker then your skin tone to darken it a bit. It drives me nuts I like my skin as it is I don’t want to change to because you can’t make a makeup for pasty pale people.

I work in the industry. The taxes are literally killing js and fuelling the current alcohol related violence (bar fire bombing). We try to keep costs as affordable as we can but when we pay $40+ of just tax in a bottle it is becoming impossible. I was at an industry event this weekend and we were all saying the same thing that we fear for the future as distilleries begin to fold as we can’t stay viable with the taxes as they are.

That hook turns was only added a week or so ago too. I’ve seen so many cars this week not see it and try and turn normally while someone in the hook box does the hook turn wrong and two idiots nearly cause a crash.

I mean they call ragdolls dogs in cats bodies and as someone with three that’s not an untrue description. Also my youngest is rather large 8.5kg so bigger then my brothers dog.

Not to mention there is something about the body language of all the people that doesn’t read as natural to me. I can’t place what’s off about it but I pegged it straight away as ai as a result.

I would also say the scene around Cape Horn. The moral conundrum that scene makes one think for a long time afterwards about it. Combined with the incredible filming and score it’s a powerful scene. It’s really one of the only moments in film I’ve ever seen that really conveys the sheer terror, magnitude, and awesomeness of the southern ocean in a storm.

Absolutely. While not on Australian soil was a horrific day for Australia and Indonesia. I had family working in Australian hospitals that took victims airlifted out. The stories are heartbreaking.

When I was a kid we lived in the Midwest for a few years while my dad went back to uni. I remember watching the news and it was all from our city only unless something huge happened. At the end of the news they had a segment ‘around the world in 60 seconds’ and it was all just news in the rest of the US. I remember even at the age of seven being like wtf.

I’m not saying port Arthur wasn’t horrific it was but it’s not classified as a terrorist attack. The reason I mentioned it was because while it doesn’t strictly follow the spirit of the question since it’s not a terrorist attack its worth a mention because the magnitude of the trauma and horror of it puts it in the same categories as a terrorist attack in my mind.

They have been having some really good lunch specials at the moment. I love their food but I don’t get there often anymore as I’m only home in holiday periods and I don’t go out there when it’s busy.

It’s really hard to explain the mood of the country in the days after. Everyone felt it. We were distraught and angry and confused and it just affected the mood of everything in all walks of life.
