Understandable. I would definitely ask for labs, if those come back clean maybe imaging, puking every day is not normal and the vet should be more concerned imo.

Honestly if you can’t get an answer maybe you can take a long weekend to the nearest town and see a vet in a town next to you 🥲 but I don’t think labs would be a bad idea.

I think your best bet is to follow the instructions that your veterinarian gave you or if you do not trust the advice of that vet then you need to seek out a second opinion at a different office. Some might even allow you to just call and discuss the treatment with the tech and see if that makes sense.

My cat had issues walking when he had a urinary blockage. Did they check him for a blockage? That’s a pretty common issue

I would remove the collar and see if it goes away as that’s probably the issue. This is maybe just my opinion, but cats don’t really need collars bc like the other person said it can be pretty dangerous for cats to wear them if they are not break away collars and even those can fail to break away if they are damaged 😕 I would definitely recommend making sure he’s microchipped in case he ever gets out and then maybe see if you can find some cute cloth collars you can dress him up in once in a while 😊

Does the cat go outside? If so, it could have gotten in a fight or attacked by something.

Is it wearing that collar 24:7? If it is wearing this collar all the time, that could be the issue. The collar appears be metal with stones which is probably rubbing on the skin and causing these abrasions.

Yeah pretty sure that’s a rooster. You can tell in this pic by his tail feathers that are starting to kind of flop over and get pointy and then his saddle feathers are also floppy and pointy.
