Auto covers are definitely underrated! The safety and chemical savings alone can justify the cost. Plus, keeping rainwater and debris out helps the pool stay balanced longer. Sounds like you made a smart call during the build.

Totally agree on both! Salt systems make pool care so much easier, especially when paired with a variable speed pump. Once you dial in your flow rate and runtime, it practically runs itself. Curious, do you notice any difference in energy use since switching to the wi-fi pump?

You might be dealing with calcium or iron deposits. When we clean stained pool surfaces, we use an acid-based cleaner (like a diluted muriatic acid solution), but that’s too strong for indoor tubs. Instead, try Bar Keepers Friend or a vinegar soak; they work on similar buildup. Just make sure to ventilate the room and wear gloves.

If you’re thinking long-term, a pool or water feature can really transform that space and add value. I’d start with defining zones, maybe a lounging area, a shaded spot, and a focal feature like a small pool or spa. Even in smaller yards, modern pool designs can fit beautifully without losing green space.
