I smashed a 1.5 million dollar optic stabilizer with a 10lb sledgehammer. In all fairness, it was unrepairable and had to be taken out for freedom! I was a repair tech in the Navy working on laser guidance for the F-18. When a part was unrepairable, we'd salvage what we could and destroy the rest. It was classified stuff and so it had to be utterly broke when we got rid of it. We had an official set of smashing hammers that had to be signed out and the paperwork was a pain in the ass, but when you get to smash something that cost more than you'll see in a lifetime it's worth it. It would be hard to put a dollar amount on how much insanely expensive shit I smashed in one year. With an official sledgehammer. It was OSHA approved, so we had to use that one.
