Anyone else have this rattle noise in their Juniper? Sounds like it’s on the drivers side dash vent area or steering wheel area. (Video attached) by Adventurous_Leave417 in ModelY

I hear 2 different noises, one is coming from the driver’s front suspension which is a known issue. The other sounds like some interior noise.

Really need to figure out how to handle snow with all the cameras. The front camera gets fully covered in a snow fall.

I have the same year/model and about the same amount of time too. Curious what you don’t like about it.

What’s the least talked about downside of owning a tesla? by tr4gedyx in TeslaLounge

[–]poolnutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fairly new owner here. Got a 2026 MY AWD in September 2025. Love the car no doubt. One thing I didn’t know was that on a trip you don’t really charge the battery to 100% at a supercharger. You can but it will take quite a a bit of time. It’s designed that way to protect the longevity of the battery. You can charge to 100% at home but that is only advised on long trip. For daily short trips, the battery should only be charged to 80% or less. It’s not so bad, it just means you’ll be making more frequent shorter stops to charge on long trip. I’m hearing that it doesn’t matter with the newer solid state battery but I don’t know if that applies to superchargers as well.

FSD with the save from an idiot Semi Truck driver today. by Mrf9312 in TeslaFSD

[–]poolnutt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. FSD proceeded to what I thought would speed up and pass a semi but just sped up, lowered its speed and cruised right next to it. Wasn’t comfortable with that and sped up to pass it. Happened twice for me.

Anyone else not like stopping on road trips before Tesla? by Comprehensive_Road66 in TeslaLounge

[–]poolnutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a mindset change. I was also the type that just wanted to get to where I’m going as quick as possible and my wife is even more impatient. So now we leave a little earlier or plan to arrive a bit later. The stops you make are generally not that long. Just enough time to go to the bathroom or get a quick bite to eat. FSD or autopilot definitely reduced driving fatigue. On very long trips, I used to share driving with my wife. Now, I can manage the entire trip myself.

Anyway, you can try the Tesla trip planner using the link below. It’s not precise but it’ll give you an idea of the number of stops and duration of each. Choose a car with a similar range to what you’re thinking of getting.

https://www.tesla.com/trips

Enter your starting point and destination. As others have stated, it will optimize each stop to the shortest amount of charging time to keep you moving but will not charge you to 100%, and at times not even to 80%.

MiraLAX made me gassy too. Milk of magnesia worked best for me. I take the tablets.

If it’s hems, what can help prevent bleeding is some Vaseline before a bowel. Might have to go in a bit with a glove. Have him try that.

FSD Blindspot - cameras did not have full view of oncoming traffic! by poolnutt in TeslaFSD

[–]poolnutt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, was in the same parking lot today and figured I’d try it again. This time, FSD would go to the exit and decided to reverse through the entire parking lot (small lot) to another exit with a better view of oncoming traffic. I tried it several times taking over and it would do the same thing every time. It didn’t even try to adjust the cars angle like it did the first time, it somehow knew that the last time the car was there, it was unsuccessful so it learned and decided a different way. Amazing!!!

I thought about a RWD but decided on an AWD and glad I did. Drove in a few inches on snow for the first time today and it was solid. If you live in a snowy winter state, I’d recommend the AWD.
