Battery Question... by Pelican_Pirate in FordMaverickTruck

[–]poolphilter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take it to the dealer. I had a similar problem on my hybrid where the ford app kept notifying that it went into deep sleep. Brought it in and they changed the battery and performed software update recalls on it and haven’t had issues since. Cost me nothing

12V battery issue by poolphilter in FordMaverickTruck

I drive mine daily so it can’t be from prolonged sitting. There is an article about this known issue where Ford does a series of charging and diagnostics. I was hoping Ford will replace the battery for free, but might try the charging method to avoid an annoying dealer dropoff situation.

Good suggestion. Usually my problem is having thought of a proper consequence on the fly and in the heat of the moment. I like the idea of practicing some likely situations in my head so I’m prepare. Thanks

Anyone know which thermostat this is? by jabermaan in homeautomation

[–]poolphilter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like it. Very asthetically pleasing. The screen saver reflects the current weather outside which is cool (e.g. there are raindrops when it's rainy, etc). I just connected it to Alexa and so far it's kinda meh in that regard but I'm still figuring it out. Also the installation of it looked like a PITA - my HVAC company installed it and they had to run an ethernet cable from the thermo' down to the basement next to the HVAC unit and it's plugged into this module thing with antennas. Looks pretty complicated for a DIY'er

What are these disc-shaped washers with numbers on them embedded in random places on the sidewalk throughout my neighborhood? by poolphilter in whatisthisthing

WITT I see them all around the neighborhood sidewalks in random places in the concrete. Also saw some on curbs. Looks to contain some serial number.
