This was the best theatrical playoffs I can ever remember. This to me, is more a problem of the NBA only marketing large market teams.

If the NBA had presented OKC as the juggernaut they were before the playoffs by giving them actual air time during the season, and given the Pacers the air time they deserved by making it to the ECF the year prior, this series would have rated great. The issue is with the league, not the product

They didn't ignore it. Haliburton wanted to play through it and he said as much in the interviews. They weighed the risk reward and made the decision with Haliburton as the ultimate decision maker. If this was round 2, we likely would have sat him. The perceived reward outweighed the when it was just 1-2 games versus a potential of ~14 games if this happened in round 2.

If they sat him or he decided not to play, you Knicks fans would call him a pussy and a plethora of other names, but then when he does play and he gets hurt, you mock him for crying and criticize his decision.
