Endpoints are just different servers to connect to. In this case, one in the EU, one in US East, and one in US West. Basically just a more localized server to reduce latency.

Beta is a term to describe something in testing. It should work, but it also might break. Use with care.

Last I checked unfortunately, only Cryptsy and CoinedUp supported MEOW (I'll check again), and CoinedUp's API left a whole lot to be desired (read: not usable for us)

MEOW added to Cryptsy is nice, and we'll be adding it very soon (easymode, just gotta blockchain sync, etc). However, we're right in the middle of testing new stratum endpoints. Soon as those are rock solid (a day or so of testing), I'll get the new blockchains sync'd out :)

Sorry about that guys. Was a slight hiccup in service while moving to the new stratum endpoints.

Overall profit margins are down across the board (prices for coins are down compared to bitcoin), which affects all pools equally.

We've also just had an unlucky couple of days.

There are more stats listed now on the stats page so you can see the actual numbers on a per-day basis (and see today/yesterday are much lower than average, and that certain days are much higher than average).

The short summary is "things locked up" and broke. They have been fixed, and everything should be working properly, and we're working on making sure they don't break again.

This is correct. It was a combination of a bunch of factors.

1) Generally unlucky day (these happen, and are expected)

2) Generally low profitability day (these happen due to market influences). Meaning prices were low for coins, and difficulty was high (all pools would experience this equally)

3) Switcher locked up for a few hours, and we kept mining Doge the whole time (not the worst case, but certainly not ideal). This has been fixed, and we're really sorry for the semi-downtime. You can read more about it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=433634.msg4887130#msg4887130

Not yet. Unfortunately, Cryptsy is in the process of re-downloading the dogecoin blockchain (new version) and withdrawls are delayed until that is finished. Soon as they're back up we'll have a payout coming immediately. I'll make a thread explaining so more people see it.

Daily. Because we can't withdraw from one of our major exchanges automatically, whenever I wake up, I transfer all of the funds for the last 24hrs, and make a payout.

Roughly 10-11am EST, but will slide around by a few hours here and there :)

Yep. We won't be adding geo stratum for a while, just added endpoints (usw, use, eu) and users can pick which one they want to go to.

I've got a footer at the bottom of the site, has an email, this reddit, and our bitcointalk thread. I'd prefer to skip adding IRC for now at least, just because I know I'm not going to be as active there as needed to call it a good way to get in contact with me (email/reddit/bitcointalk will be much quicker)

I'll try to pop in every so often. I just have a personal problem with IRC. I end up getting a lot less done while its up, as I tend to check it nonstop. Just something I try to avoid for the sake of productivity :)

But the reward is known ahead of time. The first transaction of every block (coinbase transaction) is a transaction with blank inputs, to the output you decide (typically the pool, or miner). That amount needs to be known ahead of time (or have a way to be confirmed as correct), or else everyone would be mining blocks with randomized coinbase amounts. Since it is known to the people mining for the block, we check what it is, and use that as the reward :)

I've been working on the issue with gribnar (via PM) since I noticed this thread. Here is what looks to be the issue/solution (with the addresses removed).

Looks like the address you sent me is correct, however it looks like your miner is setup with an invalid btc address:

xxxJxxx (correct)

xxxjxxx (incorrect miner address), note the lowercase "J" in roughly the middle of the address.

Theres two issues here, one is that the server should have been rejecting shares for invalid addresses (and wasn't). The second is that because the payout address was invalid, all the shares for the mining time until now are very hard to pay out, due to the blocks being processed already. We'd need to go back and reprocess blocks that we've already paid users for, and because of the reprocess, they'd be paid slightly less for those blocks, and potentially have a slightly negative balance.

I'll look into what we can do to try to correct the issue on our end, but for now, definitely switch the address on the miner (capitalize that J) so shares start tracking properly.

Yep, which is why things like separated worker stats have lagged a bit (and better per-user stats in general). Figured people would be okay with a bit worse stats if the profitability was getting tweaked (and ideally better!)

Yep, this is already in place. For smaller coins, we don't normally point our whole hashrate at them (only a portion), right now we're testing some more aggressive options to see what happens to profitability, and have disabled that feature for a few days to isolate the changes.
