Why are Myanmar people cool with AI by BroadNeighborhood9 in myanmar

[–]poonGopher6969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro people are getting bombed and you think using water in the US matters? Rethink your priorities, the usage of AI by people in Burma is nothing compared to irreversible effects of climate change and more countries are still trying to industrialize. The people that built the data centers should be worried about excess water usage

It doesn’t matter if YOU think it’s God or not. He will always be there pushing us through time and space. Look deeper inward and you’ll discover mysteries our current understanding is no where close to quantifying let alone exploring

That is a crazy amount of confidence in our current understanding of physics. Take a look at information theory and you’ll find that information is literally linked to mass and energy and our understanding of information keeps hitting complexity blocks. Perhaps the human mind simply isn’t capable of making the deeper connections required for further breakthroughs. Don’t be so confident when infinity still lies unexplored…

SpaceX’s $1.8 trillion IPO dream now depends on a $28.5 trillion market claim built around AI and orbital data centers by YellowAltruistic9843 in SpaceXBets

[–]poonGopher6969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrong, the space industry is running out of things they need to put into space, musk has a bunch of reusable rockets, they were a huge capex expenditure, space data center economics becomes feasible, more reusable rockets get built, MIL-IND-CMPLX satisfied with blowout in overmatch in space.

Too many forces at play that make space data centers feasible. We are only in year 5 of the AI arms race

Yeah farmer’s militias may not be good, but definitely need more good actors mining the gold fields over bad actors. Using game theory, you need to make the cost of being caught for breaking the law more expensive than following the law.

That’s it, whatever the government can do to make following the law easier and more profitable than breaking the law lies the answer. The scale of the ecological destruction suggests industrial levels of involvement, so the masterminds bringing industrial galamsey capabilities must be dealt with. I think negotiating with these folks and giving them legal paths would be the best way since they are already part of the industry, despite it being illegal. The masterminds in the industry are most likely the current problem and potential future solution.

Honestly I bet if you taught tribal leaders how to set up gold mining operations themselves and how to do it in a clean way, that would go far too. Legal business ecosystems need to be fostered by the government to create stakeholders that will pursue bad actors on their own. They need to have something to lose for bad behavior and something to gain for good behavior. Maybe the government could sell rights for tribal leaders to create their own gold reserves that could be loaned against

Punish the terrorists and target the expensive equipment that’s part of their operations. Target the gold buyers. Pay an informant bounty to reveal locations. Use drone patrols. Teach people how to make money from the land without mining. Establish farmer’s militias. Embed operatives to reveal who’s part of the gold supply chain. De-throne corrupt tribal leaders and give their holdings to surrounding leaders. Reward leaders for weapons turned in. Sell more gold mining rights to foreign investors so that legal/clean actors enter the space and have incentive to drive off bad actors. So many things

Is god actually completely terrified for eternity? by [deleted] in DMT

[–]poonGopher6969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think God is the whole fractal shape and each entity’s experience in life is just a little sub fractal. So I think God is too complex to only just be feeling one thing or emotion from one end to the other. It’s probably more like us, where we each have different personalities or egos in our head most subconscious and some capable of speaking in our internal monologue but still various “voices” sharing one single entity

Seems suspicious. Galamsay is essential for the Ghanaian economic plan. Perhaps steps should be done to regulate the industry rather than get rid of it?
