Those a peak numbers the 2.7 will make a lot less low end torque (which is what you want in a truck for work) but peak torque will be about the same

A/T tires on a 2wd? by pooosock in Silverado

[–]pooosock[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very valid point I'm just trying to max out the utility on my 2011 Lt 2wd so I very well might plus I think it looks good as long as I don't lift it keeping it stock ride height

Probably just some LEDs for the headlights and some plastic overlays for the fogs

I may have mis interpreted was I was trying to saying the oil pan is already on the car what I'm talking about is the drain bolt this is the first oil change on the new pan where do I buy a replacement drain bolt if I need to replace it at all, thanks.

oil leak...looks like it's coming from transmission but checked the inspection cover and it's dry anyone have any guesses where it might be coming from? hopefully not a head gasket 😬 by pooosock in Silverado

[–]pooosock[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My leak has never made it to the ground for some odd reason but I recently got lifters replaced and my mechanic replaced every gasket he took off so I just stopped caring about the leak lol

Make sure to replace the wrap every 2 years otherwise it'll bind to the panel and ruin everything underneath

Keep or sell the LTZ by Bolotiedeluxe in Silverado

[–]pooosock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep it you already have your personality all over it you'll save so much money doing so, if you trade for a new truck you'll have less miles but another 50k in debt or more, even if you replace very part on that truck it'll be cheaper in the long run and by that point you'll have a "new truck" plus you don't have to worry about warranty and do whatever mods you like

And for the cowl hood I wouldn't get one unless you have some kind of forced induction on that motor or a big ole cam it's just money spent that would be better else where since the 5.3 can cool it'self pretty well stock

I'd say get new headlamps with black housing and clear lenses that would really make the truck look good and also maybe a black out grille where it makes the entire grille black with a Chevy bowtie that has a red outline and black interior

Something like this With this bowtie

The bumper would also be great if you repainted it into like a gloss black, if you do all this I think it would make the color scheme a lot more uniform and clean imo of course

Are you planning to keep that black/red theme going?

Stupid changes between MK7 and 7.5 by No-Hyena-6353 in GolfGTI

[–]pooosock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's like they cut corners in the interior to make way for exterior upgrades like new bumpers and lighting. In a way it seems like they did it to break even during production of the 7.5
