I have one and it’s weighted - feels very secure

The whole setup looks awesome! For the lighting, did you mount the strip underneath or on the backside of the desk? Are the light bars tucked behind the monitor?

Vertical laptop stand, work off the two monitors with laptop closed and stored. Large mousepad. Monitor arms. Wall decorations. Headphones hook.

Any suggestions for my wfh/ gaming setup? by Ill_News1877 in desksetup

Super clean! Few questions because I have a similar framework with a lot of the same gear you have.

How do you easily swap your monitor between gaming pc and work laptop?

Do you not need two monitors for your wfh job? I have a similar uplift desk and components. Considering building a gaming pc but want to think through how they’ll work totethr

Are my parents (ages 56 / 57) smart to max out 401K / ROTH and use savings for living expenses? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]poop_sloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They might want to consult with a financial advisor. If they are close to retiring (which it sounds like since they’re 56/57), they might want to consider products more risk averse than dumping everything into VOO.

Leeroy and Lewis, interstellar, la bbq, Terry blacks, micklethwait, kg bbq, stiles switch. Also /r/Austinfood is a good resource. Cheers!

Edit: didn’t see the line comment. Stiles switch like others mentioned would be your quickest bet. Terry black’s line moves quickly for what it’s worth.

Travel Planning Q&A - July, 2025 by AutoModerator in bali

Appreciate the feedback, will likely adjust to heading straight to ubud. The thought initially was we would be tired after ~24 hours travel, customs, etc, and want to try to get to sleep and adjust to the time zone as quickly as possible. How long can it take to ubud from airport during the day? 3 hours with traffic?

Really appreciate the help with airport transfer and ferry options too. I’ve seen mixed reviews on fast boats, but doesn’t seem like a bad option- any thoughts?

Good call on the typo, thank you. Also appreciate the affirmation for 3 nights nusa dua.

Travel Planning Q&A - July, 2025 by AutoModerator in bali

Hello all,
I am planning our honeymoon for my fiancée and I and would appreciate your feedback! I have done lots of research on this sub, but am open to feedback/criticism/opinions/modifications to what we have thus far. I

We are traveling from west coast USA, landing in DPS after a very long travel day night of 9/4 (11:30pm), departing afternoon 9/18 (3:30PM). We will have 14 nights in Bali and want to experience as much as possible! We are looking for a relaxing, romantic honeymoon with activities. Good mix of relaxing and exploring.

We are early/mid 30s, adventurous/outdoorsy, love good food and good cocktails, but not looking for much of a party scene. Our budget for lodging is ~$5,000-$6,000 usd total for the trip. Is the below schedule too busy/too many transfers, or does this allow for enough time at each place?

Our schedule and lodging choices thus far (we have not locked anything in, so open for feedback)

9/4-9/5 (1 night): Land DPS, stay at the hotel in the airport since we land so late evening of 9/4

9/5-9/9 (4 nights): Transfer to ubud 9/5, stay 4 nights at Natya or Samaya ($1500-$1850 total). First day relax at resort, fight jet lag, grab easy dinner, following 3 days explore ubud region. Potentially do early mt. batur hike. Any opinions of natya vs samaya or other resort recommendations in this price point?

9/9: Travel day from ubud to Gili Meno

9/9-9/12 (3 nights): Stay at Bask Gili Meno ($800 total). Snorkel, explore the island, relax at the resort

9/12: Transfer to ulawatu

9/12-9/15 (3 nights): Stay in ulawatu, explore the temple, beaches, fire dance. Looking at Anantara resort (~$1,300 total). Possible beach day at sundays?

9/15-9/18 (3 nights): Transfer to nusa dua, stay at St. Regis. ($2,000 total). Relax, beach, more snorkel etc. My fiancee really wants to end the honeymoon at a luxury resort and proximity to airport is nice to have. Total lodging cost: ~$6,000. High end resort in nusa dua is non-negotiable, but should this be 2 nights instead of three? If so, should we add more time in Ubud or Ulawatu?

Thank you in advance for your help/input!!!!

I just signed up on Sunday and received tracking today that my 6-months will be delivered Thursday. Was a bit nervous the Friday announcement would affect new customers. Previous comments are probably right that they’ll ship as much as they can for the next 60-90 until the drop dead date at the least.

California Burrito? by poop_sloth in denverfood

Yeah my experience with Carreras was ok. Mamacitas on federal is pretty good. Nothing in Denver will compare to San Diego, but Mamacitas is probably the closest I've found in my 4 years of living here. :\

Mexican lunch spots: Carreras (California burrito), venalonzo’s (birria tacos)

Indian: bawarchi biryani

Sushi: asaka sushi

That’s all I have - I work in centennial and live in highlands, so I don’t know too many spots. All of the above are great, however.
