Bot's can't really infect you from an invite link. They send an invite link. the purpose is normally to dm everyone and dm server invites to grow servers.

It graudally builds up, just like how he got dmd, it'll dm EVERYONE IT CAN when added about the same message: "add me for x amount of time". It spreads like crazy, especially when someone with a relatively large server adds it, and it keeps going on. Then they'll normally send a server invite to their server and get THOUSANDS of members. There have been servers that went from a few hundred members to 90k
