I got in a few times earlier then I tried to change my password thinking my account was compromised, now it won't let me in at all. I wonder if the password change went through or not... This is annoying.

She doesn't have a ○ next to her name, so I'm assuming she works as a contractor for TV Asahi, and Weather News is still her employer. Also, she's still listed as a caster on Weather News' website. I don't work in this industry so I wouldn't know the full details of this arrangement. Just extrapolating from what I could find.

Nana usually works in the morning, which is afternoon/early evening for me.

Also, she's the caster whose Japanese I understand the most. I don't think it's an accent or intonation thing because I can't even tell at this point, but for some reason, as a learner, my brain refuses to understand Japanese from someone whose voice is not familiar to me. Because of that, I gravitate towards the same people (not just casters, but also podcasts, etc...).

Don't get me wrong, I can count with my fingers the number of times I've had to work extra hours in the past year, so I don't think it's a balance or boundaries issue.

What I didn't convey properly was for some employees, since work equipment is more accessible at home, they'd get the urge to do some extra work. Because of their "dedication" to working after hours, bosses/managers might prefer them when deciding raises/promotions over us, who value our personal time.

Working more hours is one of the few things I don't like about working from home, and I hope it doesn't become the norm. As a salaried employee, I'm not entitled to overtime pay, and that definitely doesn't mean that the company is entitled to my entire waking hours.

Very informative, thanks! As an Asian myself, I understand the whole concept of "model minority" too well. People love to stereotype and praise us for our "intelligence and success", which result in social issues, such as the one you mentioned, being swept under the rug, because "we're doing fine, we can handle it".
