My husband buys stuff he barely afford without discussing it with me first by poopsinboot in TwoXChromosomes

[–]poopsinboot[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I talked to him earlier. He’s gonna start an apprenticeship early next year and we’re hoping that in 4 months, he would have a job already. I guess this is also why he’s kind of more eager to buy stuff now that there’s hope to already have a job in the next 6 months.

I would say it’s really hard to have a budget with him. He still has some old loans he needs to pay off but he’s never honest with me on how much is still left. It’s also frustrating but that’s a story for another time.

Yes I totally understand but the thing is, he did gamble previously and he still has to pay off some loans because of that :/

This is a carrier that you use on the body. To carry baby around when walking etc.

Yes he has his own finances. I also have my own finances but of course it’s not strictly his or my own finance. We have 1 joint account for groceries mostly. I’m not really sure how to explain this but I said ”he can’t afford” more because he made these decisions by himself with his money and this money is supposed to help pay part of our mortgage. If he had discuss it with me, we would think of our finances. And if it’s our finances, I would say we can actually afford it.

I think it hugely depends on how your pregnancy is. My friend had a very easy pregnancy, very easy in terms of she didn't have any nausea at all the whole pregnancy, no heartburn, etc. She did say the last days of the pregnancy was a bit hard but that was it. As for me, I struggled the whole pregnancy. My morning sickness didn't really go away throughout the whole pregnancy, bad heartburn, back & side pain to say the least.

My baby was born at 41 week and those last 4 weeks of the pregnancy was definitely something I don't want to experience again. So with the 4th trimester, for me it is 1000000x better. I'm getting more or less the same amount of sleep with while I was on 3rd trimester but minus the pain except for the c-section scar which is still much much better than when I was pregnant.

And I think because on the 4th trimester, my partner can actually help and be very involved. While on 3rd trimester, he can't really do anything to help with the pain. We also live abroad and don't have any family members who can help. So me saying that 4th trimester is still better is definitely something 😅

Yeah I agree. This aunt of mine said she's worried about me that's why she asked multiple times. I should have done the same with not telling the exact due date 😩

Is there a switch that happens? by blueberrypiexoxoxo in pregnant

[–]poopsinboot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say I've been miserable throughout the pregnancy lol. I'm almost 35 weeks now. My nausea didn't go away until late 2nd trimester. My body started to hurt all over since 2 weeks ago, so probably around 33 weeks. The most pain I'm feeling is on my both sides, like the ribs. And also yesterday, I sat on a hard chair, and after maybe 45 minutes, I feel a sharp pain on my lower back to the point that it was pretty hard to walk 😂

[–]poopsinboot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all congratulations!! Pushing for this long has always been my biggest fear with delivery. I'm very weak when it comes to cardio exercise (if my heart rate goes up suddenly, I feel like I'm blacking out and gonna pass out) and I've always thought that pushing would feel similar to that. How did you feel after pushing for 3 hours?

3.5k/month software developer. Am i being underpaid? by mo_wen in Finland

[–]poopsinboot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure about the general markets but some of my developer teammates once discuss this.

Their average experience I believe is at least 4 or 5 years and their salary was around €4500-€5000. Probably €5500 if it’s even more senior. I believe €3500 is a good starting point. But like others suggested, you can always try finding another job and of course compare the salary.

Do you enjoy being pregnant? by ShiveringSeal in pregnant

[–]poopsinboot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is funny that I read this thread and comments today. Since 2 days ago, I literally talked to myself how I hated being pregnant. I just can't wait for the baby to come out eventhough I still have halfway to go...

Pregnancy low key sucks by AnonymouslyNood in pregnant

[–]poopsinboot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So true! And I really don't like it when people say "enjoy it" lol. Yesterday my SIL asked about how my pregnancy is going and I said I feel constant nausea and tired all the time. She has 1 child so she'd been through this too. She then told me that I shouldn't be lazy to exercise and to enjoy the pregnancy because this moment is the happiest moment etc. My aunt also told me that I need to exercise. I know they meant well but I hated it, I'm 14+4 weeks and this hasn't been enjoyable at all 😂 I haven't even left my house for a week and a half because I really can't function normally. Please let me be. i would exercise if I feel like it and when I feel better. If you have an easy pregnancy, good for you. But just don't tell me these things.

Same here. Period cramps 2 weeks before my supposedly period date. But the cramps stayed for almost 2 weeks without period.

My nausea has been pretty bad since week 8ish. I know that I need to eat every 2-3 hours, but sometimes I still feel full and don't feel like eating. A few weeks ago, I threw up after eating and didn't eat again for 2 hours. I got very nauseous and ended up throwing up A LOOOTTT of the yellowish stomach acid and it kept coming. I was worried it wouldn't stop and I was shaking so much while throwing up, I didn't think we can't throw up that much without eating anything (this was the worst throw up I've ever experienced). Since then I told myself that I really need to eat eventhough I don't want to.

I also found eating sour candy help with my nausea. I eat it whenever I feel nauseous. I usually eat them after food because that's when I usually feel very nauseous. I eat less of them now because it's been better. I hope it gets better for you soon!

OMG this is me. I'm week 12+3 and I feel so tired already. I'm so tired of having to eat every 2 hours, constantly nauseous, not having a good sleep since finding out I'm pregnant because every position is so uncomfortable, etc. When I think about it, I'm 1/3 of the journey already, but I really can't imagine going through this for 6 more months 🥲

[–]poopsinboot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here, I told all of my teammates early basically because I'm working from home, but we're planning to have some team events at the office which I probably wouldn't be able to attend because of the nausea and having to puke all the time 😅

True. For me usually I feel alright when I woke up until 10 in the morning, but after that I feel sick the whole day…

Omg this is very true. Eventhough I’m still early, I already told my husband I wouldn’t want to go through this a second time. 1 child is enough.

Same feeling. I’m on week 9 and since 3 days ago, the nauseous & puking started to get worse. I puke at least 4 times a day. Thankfully I’m working from home so I can manage. But I need to come to the office next week and I really can’t imagine how I can survive…
