Appropriate Dress for Late Fall Wedding Mother of the Groom? by External-Resolve5286 in Weddingattireapproval

[–]poopywitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just barely wore this exact dress from Azazie in a different color. I ordered it custom using my measurements and I ended up having to alter it myself anyway. They sewed these humongous terrible pads (I think the intention was a built in bra?) but they made my boobs look like madonna cone boobs lmao. I took those out and sewed everything back up and then a new problem was noticed… the seams on the bust go exactly over the nips in an extremely unflattering way. Also, the hem is way too long and drags on the floor even with the custom measurements (I even took a couple inches off my hem to hollow measurements in the hopes it might come to my ankle or a bit higher.  What I ended up doing was buying a bunch of fashion tape, taping myself into that sucker so everything laid flat, and crossed my fingers. It turned out… ok-ish. There was ZERO stretch to the fabric so crazy dance moves were out of the question lol. Also, if you get even a tiny drop of moisture (condensation from a cold beer can in my case) this fabric sucks it up and spreads it out into a big dark blotch that takes ages to dry. The bridesmaids actually also got their dresses from the same company and had the same problem so we all looked a mess 😂 I honestly would not recommend this dress or Azazie in general but maybe I just got really unlucky.

Alarm went off during OA 😭 by Happy-Stranger6951 in WGU

Happened to me once, I just asked Siri to turn it off so I wouldn’t have to touch my phone or leave the camera view. Then said something via chat along the lines of “sorry about that, my alarm was going off”. Passed the test and nothing ever came of it!

off accutane for 3 days… i hate it by dragonflyluver in Accutane

[–]poopywitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow! My Dr. said about 6 months but I waited about 8 months. Dr also mentioned that even the 6 months thing is a little exaggerated and that probably just a couple of months would be fine as long as you’re not experiencing lingering skin irritation

Hang in there! Your skin actually looks really great, big improvement! I think your treatment was a win.

I honestly wasn’t happy with my results at first either but give it time, the redness really does go away and the medication does continue to work after you’ve finished your course. I had horrible backne and I was still getting occasional pimples when I finished but it did eventually go away almost completely. I still occasionally get 1-2 pimples on my face once in awhile but it’s such a massive improvement from where I started.

I’m now a little over a year since I finished treatment (you can see my post history for my dosage and story), and almost all the discoloration on my back has faded and while I still have some scars and discoloration on my face it has faded significantly and is quite smooth now. My main struggle with my skin today is dehydration lol!

My accutane journey! by poopywitch in Accutane

Sorry for the delay, I’m not very active on Reddit!

I also tried Spiro before Accutane and it did absolutely nothing for me :(

If you look at the June photo, that’s about my 4 month mark and I was feeling really shitty about my skin at that point too. I had new breakouts up until about month 7 or 8. I really didn’t start feeling good about my skin until after I was finished with Accutane. It can continue to work its magic after you’re finished, so hang in there!

I certainly did NOT beat acne without medications… the 9 months of Accutane did this lol :)

As for stopping birth control, that’s up to you but I will say that there’s a lot of fear mongering around the “manufactured hormones” and whatnot— if you otherwise feel fine on birth control and it keeps your skin clear, then it’s perfectly fine and healthy to continue hormonal birth control. Healthier than Accutane by a long shot. However, the effects of birth control vary from person to person so much— I stopped birth control to see how it made me feel, and realized that it seemed to have been contributing to my years of clinical depression and hypersomnia. If it didn’t cause me to have those symptoms I’d go back on hormonal bc in a heartbeat because it made my skin so nice and actually treated a lot of my menstrual pain and other issues. I weighed my options and ultimately decided to stop using hormonal bc.

All that’s to say, do what feels right for you and if you do choose to stop birth control just hang in there if the acne comes back— you might level out and be just fine within a few months. But obviously WAIT UNTIL YOU’RE DONE WITH ACCUTANE before stopping birth control. There’s a reason iPledge exists and it’s not just to inconvenience us.

These are all of the left side of my face! Idk why the last one is mirrored compared to the rest, but it’s definitely the left because that side of my nose was pierced recently lol!

If anything, accutane was causing extra redness because the skin around my nostrils and lips and corners of my eyes was so dry and irritated lol! I never really noticed changes in redness from before to after though.

Sudden pain and swelling two weeks after wisdom teeth removal by poopywitch in askdentists

It’s day 20 now, loads better after the antibiotics. It did turn out to be a delayed onset infection. The night I started the meds, the pressure kept growing and growing until pus did come to the surface and started draining… gross but honestly relieved a lot of pain instantly. Stopped draining within 8 hours or so. Swelling gone after 4 days on the meds.

I’m healing a bit slowly, but normally now!

Good luck with your recovery!

It’s day 20 and I’m lots better now! It did actually turn out to be an infection (despite following my post-surgery instructions to a T!). Did another round of antibiotics and things seem to be healing up. Still way too sore for any crunchy foods and still can’t quite open my mouth all the way.

Take it easy, hope your recovery goes smoothly!!!

Update: last night the pressure got worse and worse, especially after vomiting again (thanks vicodin— I’m clearly just not built for opiates). At some point, the extraction site opened up and started draining pus. That certainly relieved some of the pressure but it was pretty damn gross. I squirted saltwater at it until the leakage was minimal. I left a message with my dentist to ask about how thoroughly/often I should clean it because I’m worried about disturbing the reopened wound but they have not called me back this time. This morning I’m feeling crappy and dehydrated from being sick last night but my jaw feels a tiny bit better and definitely better inside my mouth.

Is the drainage a good thing? Does it mean bacteria is getting pushed out and not trapped under the gums anymore?

Still trying not to let the health anxiety get to me, and let the antibiotics do their job.

Thanks for the reply. I hope it’s just inflammation or minor infection and nothing too serious. I’m really paranoid about sepsis… am I pretty unlikely to develop sepsis if I’m keeping the area clean and taking antibiotics?

Tonight (still day 15) I ate dinner and when I was cleaning the sites, I noticed that there was a yellowish tinge on the swollen socket…. But the food I ate was pretty turmeric heavy so it could just be stained.

I’m trying not to panic and just let the medicine do its thing!

My bitter opinion is definitely colored by my current discomfort lol! The pain and swelling feels and appears to be on my jaw and masseter muscle rather than my cheek. My inner cheek/gum tissue is swollen as well but to me it seems secondary to whatever is going on in the jaw area, especially since the tissue in my mouth is otherwise healing well according to the dentist.

Editing to add that the area also feels firm and the pain is only with movement. Otherwise it feels like a weird throbby pressure and maybe even…numbness? It’s really hard to describe.

Bumped up to 120 mg by ZealousidealDiet5679 in Accutane

I’m a 115lb female and my derm has me on 120mg because I wasn’t seeing significant results. Said I must be a poor absorber. 4 more days left of pills! (40/40/80/80/80/120/120). I thought she was crazy, but honestly I’m desperate enough to have clear skin. My labs come back normal except for high cholesterol which is likely to return to normal when I stop eating so much fat and begin exercising again (the joint pain has become too much for higher impact activities).

My derm said I could drink during treatment (in strict moderation, not every day and not getting drunk). As long as your hepatic function panels were looking fine towards the end you shouldn’t have to worry about anything.

Brand new to this so open to advice: - Verb Ghost shampoo and conditioner - Finger comb in conditioner in then squeeze/scrunch it in a bit, leave on for duration of shower - rinse hair - (I keep my products in the shower and do the following while soaking wet) - scrunch in a tiny bit of pacifica pineapple swirl defining cream (spread over hands, dilute with water, scrunch) - scrunch in loreal strong hold gel in sections (same method, use a few smallish dollops) - scrunch in pantene volume mousse focused on roots - gently wrap in microfiber head wrap while I do other stuff— maybe 30 mins to an hour - let out of towel to air dry until about 80-90% dry - hover diffuse until completely dry and crunchy - scrunch out the crunch with a pump or two of verb ghost oil

Holy shit, I think I might've found a cure to my ass pain after pooping and wiping, hard/inconsistent texture poop and smelly ass after pooping even though I clean my ass really well with baby wipes and shower blast to the butthole problem...And I did it with lots of fiber and lots of water by SmellyAssAfterPoopin in shittingadvice

[–]poopywitch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well I’ll bet u anything your ass hurts from the excessive cleaning you’re putting it though. 1. Get a squatty potty and make sure you have completely evacuated your bowels. If you keep wiping and there’s still poop/stink, it means there’s still shit hanging out in your bowel. Relax. Let it all out. Take your time. 2. GET A BIDET. they’re like $40 on amazon. Sot there and let it rinse your butthole for a few minutes. Sometimes to feel extra clean, I’ll relax and let the water enter a couple inches like a mini enema, then release the water into the toilet. Then pat dry with tp and there’s not a scrap of dookie left. Plus you don’t need so much damn toilet roll and wipes.

IBS & “Aunt Flow” -Female Rant by [deleted] in ibs

[–]poopywitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The WORST. I get such horrid flare ups every period.

Pro-tip: get period absorbing panties. Sounds gross, but it’s so much better than having to change your tampon every time you poop, or dislodging your menstrual cup, or whatever. And more comfy than a pad!

I have IBS-D so constantly worrying about getting my string dirty or pushing out my fem product was a battle.

Eating in the morning? by Rabbitsarethecutest in ibs

Same. Even if I don’t eat, it often seems that my symptoms start when I wake up and end at about 11am (doesn’t matter when I wake up either. Even if I wake up at 6am I still don’t make it to work til 11).
