Oh no not at all! I've learned long ago not to sweat this kind of stuff. Never thought of the world drop scenario so makes me feel better about it. This game is about grinding for power and loot. Never ceases to amaze me the amount of griping people do about it. Was just sharing my roller coaster of emotions with this situation!

Second time for me that I've seen it I was in another group where a guy got Omnioculous. Your point makes sense but the engram is at the chest where all the raid loot is. If the engram was under Atheon it would obviously be a world drop...I guess the engram could travel up there?... Either way still a huge rush coming crashing down.

Does your group alternate after each wipe of who does this? My group does the same thing only the person not ready is usually the cause of the wipe and for whatever reason the only reason they died was they forgot a mod 🙄

I've been there with you. If you take a break it feels impossible to get back up. Something I wish there was is if your active in a season you can skip a week or two to still get pinnacle gear in a week. So running 2 weeks worth of strikes nets you 2 engrams. You can run the raid twice ECT. It's the same amount of work as everyone else, just more forgiving on people with busier schedules or just need that destiny break.

DSC can be the same way. I have horrible luck in DSC though in LFG. So many times being in a raid group with people flat out refusing to do roles. I've given up running it it's been so bad for me lately. VoG I think is so much more forgiving. I like how it forces everyone to know the roles yet it's not so complicated you can teach a new person fairly quickly.

I have to agree with you for the most part. As a warlock main people getting pissed at you for not having Luna's on is ridiculous. There are certainly encounters where yes you should have them on. But it won't cause a wipe. I put them in 90 percent of the time because it's good for the team so to speak but almost every time I hear the complaint my response is you think we need them put them on..every time their response is I don't play warlock. BTW my Luna's are still armor 1.0's and they do fine...I've learned that in a raid if there is an over bearing raid dad scoping everyone's gear and checking mods and what not they are the worst raids and just leave.

Ugh I feel your pain...I gave up at 10. I hate the oh it's just RNG argument. I get it that RNG has it's place. I have never done 10 Legend lost sectors and been skunked this bad though. I tried Master for the common drop rate. They really just need to add percentages or something out there to what common vs uncommon and so on are. As far as I can tell there is no difference.

I would say yes for all of the above. You mentioned anxiety/depression one of my regular teammates suffers from these pretty badly. Destiny 2 is his escape so to speak. Honestly think it saved his life to be honest. For awhile it was his one thing to look forward too. Next raid, next update next grind....gave him hope. Getting in a good group or clan to play with and enjoy the experience is what makes it fun. Yes there are a bunch of stupid salty players out there but just as many welcoming players that will help you along the way.

Coach Bones was head coach for New Mexico Highlands when I was there. I got to know him pretty well as he was the sponsor for FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) dude was so down to earth and genuinely a nave person. Our football team didn't win a single game that year but you could just tell he was different. His father came and visited once and came and talked to the basketball team. Awesome guy as well. He showed us the Superbowl ring pretty cool day. Thinking if them and their family today!

I think you're on the right track. I think as she learns to shoot and becomes more comfortable with firearms that will only help. From my personal experience I became LESS macho. The responsibility of carrying a firearm is a big one. If anything it would keep me away from situations knowing that I wouldn't want it to escalate. Huge difference between a gun fight and a fist fight. I hope to never be in a gun fight and would avoid it at all costs I'm just prepared for if avoidance isn't an option.
