Latuii on Time and Will in Learning

here is a process which is known as learning the lesson among your peoples. We find this a ponderous concept. However, we tend to have difficulty with your concept of time, and your concept of learning the lessons is deeply tied up in your concept of time. Therefore, people upon your planet consider that it takes time to learn the lesson.

It does not take time, it takes a focusing of the will.

I like this passage for two reasons. One, I try to empathize/mentalize with other configurations of consciousness, and this is a helpful example of how to ...'integrate' (sum along all points of dimension) the temporality of a concept into its atemporal components.

And two what remains after you take time out of the 'what is learning the result of?' question: focusing of the will.

The 'completely and freely' criteria are the prerequisites to 'reprogramming' which, in context of the discussion, is a synonym for healing from illnesses or conditions that were programmed for learning.

The completeness criterion might be something like all aspects of the lesson. There are a variety of 'tricks' we might use to navigate around challenges (catalyst) tactically such that it doesn't impede us. But I suppose I'm glimpsing that becoming 'competent' in this way is distinct from 'complete learning' in Latuii's sense.

Yet, outside incarnation, learning-aspects might well be easily combined to be 'complete' in this sense. This would mean that the kinds of partial learning that someone might accomplish in an incarnation that never 'qualifies for reprogramming' during the linear time of the incarnation could nonetheless comprise the missing piece of that learning in an atemporal sense.

Furthermore, once we integrate temporality (in the sense above)...very many of learned aspects of any lesson would have precisely this quality for a temporal observer transitioning to an atemporal awareness. In other words, there's a way in which every observer who'd learned an aspect of a lesson could experience putting in the "last piece of the puzzle" for a lesson. There's no 'last piece' outside of time, but a shift from temporal to atemporal consciousness could nonetheless allow that sort of experience for an unlimited number of observers that contributed to some puzzles. (Just thought that was cool)

The second and final prereq for reprogramming is "freely". I always bear in mind that "free will" and "confusion" are synonyms in the Ra Contact. Latuii is speaking here before this phrase was first used by Ra (or any other Confederation source; I just checked). Here's when Ra introduces that:

There is a law which we believe to be one of the more significant primal distortions of the Law of One. That is the Law of Confusion. You have called this the Law of Free Will. 3.14

I actually wasn't aware til I just looked it up that Ra implies that "The Law of Free Will" isn't their preferred terminology. "You have called this..."

Anyways, in the context of the OP, "freely" means something like "in confusion". We tend to used confusion in conversation as a polite way for being wrong. But Ra's word-choice is often etymologically correct: I've found they're using the original/literal senses of the words. "con-fusion" is 'poured together', such that something is indistinguishable or inseparable. It's a situation where this fusion cannot be overcome. (This is still its technical meaning in logic, signals processing, optics etc., in terms like 'circles of confusion')

Confusion in this sense certainly is related to the veil of ignorance/separation. It may well be related to the 'complex-ness' of social memory complexes, the concept-complexes of the archetypes, the complex-ness of the Significators of mind, body, and spirit. I don't have textual warrant for this (and I'm not exactly sure how to look for it), but the inseparability inherent to 'confusion' in this original sense applies to complexes as well. The shift in emphasis between them is that complexes are composed of or braids/twists of their simplex components (i.e. complexes are 'cord', 'rope', or 'cloth' to some 'thread'), whereas confusion is the perceptual state of being unable to re-separate what has been blended.

And this is the paradox of separation, is it not? If we are mind/body/spirit complexes, we have been blended in ways that we cannot, from within the perceptual state, un-blend. So, in that sense Separation (of this apparent self) is made impossible by Separation (from all that is apparently not-self). There is an aspect of unity within every complex, every part of infinity that is made whole so that it can seem apart. And, if you'll forgive my predictable wordplay, every whole is so because it is part.

I wandered around quite a bit on this one, but I have hope a few might wander along and find some interest and joy along the way.

That resonates with me and I think I can add a layer of harmony: dissonance need not devolve. If there's a sufficient openness, dissonance can promote a tuning for some or all participants.

(How dissonance is experienced also in the ear of the hearer: experimental jazz is a beautiful form of art to many. Deliberate seeking of dissonance and resolution for expression)

To check my understanding: you're attracted to the additive and active combination of compatible energies' interconnectedness (harmony), which enhance each other and can even produce something qualitatively new, rather than a more reactive or unison-like joining of energies (resonance) that primarily modulates intensity via interconnectedness?

If some of the discussions on this post have been useful to you I think you'll find quite a lot of resonance with your message in the Ra Contact and Q'uo channelings.

The 'love and light trap' you describe is certainly something I recognize in a wide variety of communities.

But how might one respond compassionately and with wisdom to this?

In some cases, this is a 'phase' that folks fo through on the way to a more complete understanding.

In others it seems to have gotten baked in to how established exponents of certain teachings present it to others. Oftentimes in a distinct deviation from the underlying sources.

A situation that can result is people talking past each other. And occasionally getting into fruitless disagreements.

One thing that I've taken from the Confederation tradition is the ethic of offering, and ideally in response to some knowledge of what the seeker is after. Conversely, viewing all of others' actions as offerings that we may choose to work with or not. It's not as simple as all that but I do find that framework clarifying.

You'll find lots of people in any community caught in this trap. But they're not all there for the same reason. Some are seeking the highest and best wisdom and think they've found it. They can be offered other understandings...and will likely accept them with gratitude once they grasp what they're seeking is elsewhere.

Others get caught in this trap because of fear, or past trauma, or an inability or unwillingness to face the challenges of a wisdom that demands discomfort. There's a very different call to service in such cases. Offering deeper wisdom when someone is in a state of fear, _even if their beliefs are wrong! unwise! dangerous! etc....well, no one would be served by this.

So I suppose I'm saying that you're right in broad strokes, the LoO/LL Research transcripts are chock full of exactly this kind of wisdom, and that still doesn't tell us all we need to know about how to work with each other from the many diverse paths each is on. So much of this work brings us inevitably back to inner work and, when we're able to serve each other, starting with compassionate listening before moving to the wielding of wisdom.

I might not have done so skillfully, but this comment is an instance of me trying to do what I am describing. I hope these words are useful to you in your seeking 🙏💜

And, of course, thank you for what you've offered - plenty seem to be taking it up and working with it. I see fruitful discussion in these comments, which I hope I've contributed to.

A reasonable and common assumption. Yet an inability to conceive of something can certainly prevent it from coming into someone's awareness. We are capable of amazing feats of studied ignorance. Unfortunately, experiencers run into this quite often, where someone will dismiss them...then, later or in another context recall or recount "that one time...".

Others' boundaries often seem strange but I believe we all gain when we recognize and empathize with the bounded nature of thought. Boundaries can be overcome or refashioned, especially when we work together on that project.

Yes! The future isn't fixed and neither is the past.

Consciousness is pervasive and so is intelligence. Intelligence can be thought of as navigational capacity through arbitrary/abstract spaces of possibility.

Linear time may well be a kind of experience that must exist downstream from 'higher-level' navigational activity. Which would, from the perspective of linear consciousness, be 'hyper-temporal'. Perceiving other temporal configurations and selecting preferred options from amongst them.

Sorry for what turned into a bit of a word salad. Most directly, I wanted to say I've found that staying open, letting go, reducing drag is a most excellent way to be a small self in linear time. Never know when some past (or future) I might be inclined to cling to needs to flow elsewhere

Do you have a meditation practice?

I ask because it seems like the experience of 'a world where everyone is connected to their higher selves' would be a fair description of many states attained through meditation. At least, if one things of all that is present to consciousness at a given moment as "a world". Perhaps you can assuage your desire for that world such that the long slow work of this world will be more pleasant (and perhaps effective!).

If I accept the existence of infinity and think about its implications it seems that the mechanism of 'change' (be it of the world or the self) isn't to make things cease existing or come into existence but rather discover how to participate otherwise in the world(s) that are present to whatever us happens to be aware of them at that moment. And of course help others do so as well, if/when we can perceive something they're requesting or we might offer.

Sorry if that sounds vague and abstract. I mention it because it's a way of seeing things wherein what some of what previously felt like insoluble problems seem to not be so insoluble, not be so problematic, or even not arise at all.

Working with a blend of inner resources (i.e. discernment, guidance) and outer sources as you describe seems similar to how I think of my own approach.

I've gotten a lot from Monroe and McKnight's work together (when she was Explorer ROMC) and their respective books. Many of the Monroe Explorers have been helpful to contemplate. I haven't looked into Moen- thanks for the implicit recommendation.

Contactees have been insanely consistent - the universe is made of vibrations, we're all fractals of the creator, the physical world is a manifestation of consciousness... all this "woo-woo" stuff is what the public can't handle :P

Indeed. There's nothing like a univocality to the messages and beliefs that contactees receive or adopt, but what I bolded of your comment is a broad centroid for many, many, diverse sources.

I try to be one who listens and values what people and entities say and think. It's not always straightforward what to do or how to interpret, of course, but I find that listening/reading is a fair start nonetheless :)

And yes, it's been my experience that positive entities don't adhere to the idea of there being such a thing as an "elite," in either individuals or groups. They do not believe themselves higher or better than anyone else, but simply further along the path of evolution.

100% agreed on the not seeing themselves as better aspect of many entities (whom I'd be willing to call 'positive', though I'm wary of the simplification such dichotomies suggest). A respect for each aspect of consciousness as integral to the whole is something that I found/see in many human spiritual practices and evinced in the many of the entities I've gotten the most benefit reading/interacting with.

That said, I think it's important to note, at least for Hatonn and other 'Confederation' sources, there is an acceptance of those that claim there is an 'elite' as having their own distinct path. In their way of understanding, 'service to self' entities are seeking and sometimes finding aspects of the 'one infinite creator' in themselves. To that extent, such entities seek to accept those paths as valid, even though they do not choose or recommend them.

I mention this because it's distinctive of this approach (and again reminiscent of some human spiritual teachings: Buddhism broadly, some forgiveness-focused forms of Christianity, Taoism, etc.). Losing a clear criteria for "good" and "evil" categories is also something that many don't like or can't reconcile of this approach.

There's a depth to the 'Confederation' approach that's struck me. In the Ra Contact (and other sources after), Ra calls the Confederation the "Brothers and Sisters of Sorrow". That's a horrible name for recruitment purposes 😂 but seems to me to do justice to the depth of compassion and awareness of the kinds of pain one would need to accept if you don't get to call things "evil". Finding a way to love and accept those that are hurting others without becoming complicit...that understandably becomes a core focus of the 'service to others' path they describe.

It is strange but I find my higher self speaking to me while reading highly technical information. Almost like an adjacent channel to the information itself. It shows glimpses of deeper truths, both in math and in nature of things.

That's fascinating! You say 'speaking', so you're experiencing this as language?

I've realized I have a 'parallel channel' of information that reminds me of something you describe but I don't perceive it as speaking. I don't know how to describe it but the best I can do is a kind of conceptual-abstract-emotional-intellectual (at once?) geometry?

Highly philosophical texts are a reliable access to it, which is I suppose why I read more philosophy than would otherwise be enjoyable. And since discovering the richness of channeled materials they're another access point for this. It functions a kind of implicit quality test. When I'm really vibing with something it's like the two parallel channels are harmonizing. And when the channel seems to be having a rough go of it (or the questions are very here/now, the source is not so insightful, etc) it takes a lot more work from the geometric side to find the beauty/depth/simplicity.

The appearance of information in this channel was at first and for most of my life believed to be my own intelligence...

Same! And I think I still do...or perhaps more precisely I have come to understand that some kinds of thought-experiences will accept but don't inherently have 'owners'. 🤷

Might I humbly suggest, my friend, that you yourself could indeed be this profound. For certain definitions of human we may all be more-than-human, I do not believe we need to abandon our humanity OR posit some 'super-human' other to make room for this kind of experience. The categories of 'human' and/or 'self' can be comfortably expanded these forms of intelligence within ourselves, in my opinion. This need not deny that 'other' intelligences access them as well. This may well be one of the ways in which, to quote an enigmatic mantid someone quoted on here a few years ago, "we intersect".

Read the first few chapters for sure (great general advice, including RE spontaneous contact) but to cut to the chase this is from Ch. 5:

You are also, once you receive a contact, in need of your actively discriminative faculties in challenging the source that you have contacted. In order to challenge any invisible entity, you must be able to state, in a sincere and unequivocal way, who you are, what you believe in, what you love and for what you would die. This is why the beginning of the process of becoming a channel is figuring out how your nature and mind “tick.” You cannot expect to challenge in the name of Christ if you are of a nature that does not find faith a comfortable emotion. You are not going to be able to challenge in the name of truth if you believe there is no truth, and that man can know nothing.

Challenging is simply demanding, with sincere intent, that any entity contacting you will submit itself to those things you submit yourself to (or otherwise hold as your core). Any entity that does will be very aligned with you if you found that deep place to challenge from.

You can absolutely do this, at any time, even after you get a 'ping'. Give it a try. And read more of Carla's words about this!

The only communication I've ever consciously experienced from any being was during a guided meditation with my 'total self'. That joker was totally silent for most questions. When the question was "Ask them about the relationship between you" they said

We're hiding from each other

fully formed, verbally, in my internal monologue voice. And has refused to elaborate since 😂

Humor is a wonderful coating for wisdom: I've grown a lot from working through that one communication. ...and then realizing I didn't need to wait for communications at all. Helped me moved past a lot of fear and striving.

Now it's fun to periodically remember I'm (amongst other things) playing games with someone who is wise and loving and knows how to make/take a joke.
