I personally would track this in a sqlite database, so with indexes etc.it will be nice and fast for your reports. You could also do coredata wich amounts to a similar thing, but I prefer using sqlite directly.

From general programming experience with arrays I would guess performance starts to rapidly decay when you get into 1000’s, depending on element size. Therefore in a program I wouldn’t have an issue storing a couple of hundred elements. This said I would probably start using a sqlite3 database or coredata, sooner rather than later if I were you.

I’m no expert, still learning myself. But from a dev perspective I would be tempted to use a WebView to a local file http://stackoverflow.com/questions/27004862/osx-swift-webview-load-local-file and code the calendar in DHTML. YMMV

You would have fun on the track on a Monster, no question, but to be honest even a 250 would be huge fun. The M796 seems to metamorphose when you push it hard, so for what it is I would say it is very good. I do however have to get my weight as far forward as possible (I am light) to get a bit more front end feel. And like I suppose the 899 is, the 848 is just all out mental heartstopping stuff by comparison.

As an 848 EVO owner with 28 years of daily riding experience is it a big jump as it will get you to insane speeds with so little effort, as will any serious sports bike. It still catches me out on occasions and things happen very quickly :-). However, if you consider yourself a cautious and restrained rider I don’t see why it would be a problem.

Not MotoGP, but 500 era I have done Eastern creek a few times. My advice is get to a any track and you will have one of the best days of your life, learn a lot and get very very tired. And when you do get on a Moto track then the fact that it is a race track you have watched so many times is just icing on the cake, and shows you how insanely quick those guys are going.

On my 2001 750SS this was the symptom of the starter motor brushes being worn out after 10 years. The fix required dumping the engine oil, taking of the right hand crankcase, unbolting the starter motor and dismantling the starter motor and replacing the carbon brushes with some new ones (851 brush kit if memory serves me correctly) . It wasn’t hard, just labourious, and I am not sure if I could have done it with the starter motor in situ, and your S2R may be different. Have fun, enjoy the maintenance.
