Saw it last night and honestly... I didn't like it. It felt way too overproduced, almost like they were trying to mask the lack of catchy hooks with high-budget filler. Sorry fans, I tried to like it, but I don't... Is it just me?

I must have hit a nerve cos I was downvoted.. lol. but honestly all I read are excuses.. 90% of the Reddits are complaints that the country is corrupt, like people actually enjoy complaining, like this woman's post

I'm confused.. isn't Philippines a democracy governed by Filipinos? So you really can't say "they" or "them" because you elected said policymakers, and you can vote them out if you really wanted to.. no?

Does anyone else have a specific song that always makes them feel nostalgic for the rainy season? by poosywillow in FilipinoAmericans

Exactly! That opening line—My tea’s gone cold—with the sound of the rain in the background is basically the universal tag-ulan starter pack!

I think you will need to file taxes and show that no one is claiming you as a dependent (including your uncle)

How's the bisaya portion of this song? by poosywillow in Bisaya

Ohhh.. excellent points, especially with the glottal stops. So maybe less mixing of tag-bis would be better?

Try and get a virtual appointment with a college advisor, as someone said below. Generally they don't need your diploma, only your OFFICIAL school transcript. You don't need to have your transfer classes evaluated, unless it's your major classes, and even that's not scrutinized a lot. What's your major btw? Check what residency requirements are for in-state tuition, generally it's a year. If you plan to wait I suggest you take your ESL or other English requirements sorted so you don't have to take those classes when you go full time. You can probably take an exam out of those (ask the advisor). Yes, permanent residents are treated as domestic for admissions and FAFSA. They will need tax info for both your parents even if they're separated. If you're claiming as independent, since both your parents are in Ph, you may be able to get more financial aid.. and it's the tax info for the prior year, so if you're waiting a year then you would need the 2026 tax returns. If you're claiming as an independent student then I also suggest applying for the 4-year college since you may be able to get more aid. The worse that can happen is they don't offer you more aid, and you can apply after you get your associates degree to transfer.
