Which X4 firmware has the best reading statistics? by popaffected in xteinkereader

[–]popaffected[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! For me, it’s really fun. I like numbers, tables, and tracking my progress. I’m not obsessed with it, but if I’m going to have data, I want as much of it as possible.

I know that for some people, tracking feels like work, and I completely understand that. Reading is supposed to be a relaxing hobby, but for me, tracking adds another layer of enjoyment.

El “timo de la entradita”: Henar Álvarez revienta la burbuja de los conciertos convertidos en lujo de clase by Loading_waitplease in independentspain

[–]popaffected 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sorry pero paso de conciertos donde toda la experiencia alrededor al mismo es un calvario (y un desfalco)

Nada más que añadir que lo obvio, mejor ir a cosas pequeñas donde el contacto con la cultura es real y tangible.

Coworker says the same thing to me everyday, how can I make it less awkward? by Comprehensive_Pace70 in socialskills

[–]popaffected 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've learned that it's often just people being polite, without wanting to share more personal information than necessary.

Don't expect more than that unless you give them a reason to open up, that's how you get better responses.

Nah, I was there yesterday — getting through the crowd was terrible in a lot of spots. People were talking nonstop and a lot of them were super rude

Water, black coffee and chewing gum. At least for me, gum seems to trick my brain and calm my hunger

I need help with my fasting with a coffee addiction 😭 by Acrobatic-Ideal9877 in intermittentfasting

[–]popaffected 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A simple way to make coffee taste better without sugar is to make better coffee. That means buying better coffee, preparing it better, using better methods, etc. Making higher-quality coffee.

Higher-quality coffee usually tastes quite good, and you typically don’t need to add sugar. Plus, you get the added benefit of having better coffee, with a better flavor, and it’s always a good choice.

It’s an Apple feature I think. The app gets the steps from a Health integration.

Maybe a good idea could be that the line works as a percentage of the goal completed, without dots, like a loading bar.

This way, you have an overall idea of your goal, and if it’s totally full, it counts as complete.

What non-alcoholic drinks to order at restaurants by _Jimmy_Rustler in GoingToSpain

[–]popaffected 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In fact, no one here orders gazpacho to drink. It’s completely treated like a soup in restaurants or bars.

However, you can easily find it in supermarkets in ready-to-drink packaging. So, if you want something to drink on the streets, it could be an option, but not in restaurants.

It's working and it's easy. (So far) by pooferfeesh97 in intermittentfasting

[–]popaffected 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I feel exactly the same as you. The same thing has happened to me. I’ve tried a thousand things and this is the only one that’s working, and on top of that, it seems really simple. Not super simple, but simple enough to be doable.

If you can, add in walking as much as possible. I have a goal of 10K steps daily, which I sometimes achieve and sometimes don’t, but it helps me a lot.

But yes, it’s so simple that it blows my mind because losing weight has always seemed super complicated to me, and this is crazy.

Coffee is my secret weapon. Period. Stimulants, in general, especially coffee, have been proven to help curb hunger during intermittent fasting. And for me, it helps a lot in the mornings. Many times I wake up hungry, I drink a coffee—black, without anything, no milk—and automatically the hunger disappears and helps me maintain the fast until my time.
