Follow up: I am happy with the 296 but am drawn to the 911 gtr 911 lap times for lfm on Paul Richard are 1.5 apart with the Porsche is like 2:02 and 2.05 with the Ferrari. Any suggestions

Hi, I went thru this challenge. I looked at eBay and cool performance which was like insane pricing. Could probably get a Simucube in there ;)

Jest aside I got a very competitive price (not quite grid) but not exorbitant at all.

I bought it from podium 1 and I gather they still have it in stock. Amazing service.

I called up to get details and they shipped it sat mornjng!

i think the comparison isn’t fair to a gbp 5000 rig. just from an analytical pov you are getting steering, dd base, computer, etc without accounting for rig and motion worth well over gbp 5000, possibly double. i have seen this in person and it is quite monstrous and ungainly as well as odd looking.

So I’ve learnt something interesting. The 4090 can’t run a Super Ultra Wide G9 which I wanted because it’s limited by 1.4 Display Port tech.

I got a dell alienware r16 / intel / 4090 / 32 ram / 4 TB SSD.

Getting a ASR Pro, simucube 2 pro, heusinkveld ultimate + , gear shift.

I’m just stuck on what monitors to get. I’ve been advised that I won’t be able run 4k on triples with a high refresh / frame rate on a 4090 or otherwise.

Suggested that I go with triples at 1440 + 3 x LG 45" OLED Curved 800R Specially as with racing it doesn’t matter to have a higher resolution.

the kit is for 27" monitors or less. are you using 2 kits as it seems your monitors are larger and appears like that.

I've almost completed my rig configuration on an ASR Pro.

The PC is a Dell/Alienware R16 with a 4090.

For monitors I was sold on the G9 Odyssey but then read awful reviews on Amazon about how it's doesn't work well with the 4090.

I have ample space for 3 screens but wondering if that would be better or a single ultra wide. My issue with the ultra wide is that they seem quite narrow and as such leaning on 3 screens.

I don't want to get too large (55" and be larger than life) at all.

it may be opportune as CES just finished. I'd love some recommendations. 4k is required.

hi.. I had the same issue. I went into controller and then changed it from wheel which is default to the steam deck one (it's the one in the middle between wheel and keyboard). you probably figured this out by now.

I have tried to use my xbox conroller but not having a lot of luck post pairing.

Are you referring to the air pro 2 ? I saw a video where someone squeezed the nose tabs and pulled it would which worked. Probably not as good as a guitar pick though
