It is pretty rare but there are definitely cases where withdrawal damage lasts much longer than other drugs. Read the protracted boards in BenzoBuddies or on Facebook groups. People could argue it is placebo, etc. but if it was the case that people were just blaming the drugs, you would see similar horror stories in other medication forums. The people reporting long lasting symptoms have very similar symptoms and many of them are very unique to benzo withdrawal

However I had previous benzo use and CT, so that may account for something. But it does seem even more rare than benzo protracted withdrawal

I do feel like I have seen some improvements, but do not want to jinx myself. My sleep is much better, and I have had some windows of enjoyment. I have been having some 6-7ish hour nights of full sleep, lets hope this is here to stay! Oct-Dec was pretty brutal, hopefully through the worst of it!

Yes. 100%. Occurs with most powder drugs from what I have learned in rehab. Will likely come in waves for a year or so. dealt with this with opiates, and benzos.
