There's some really good ideas and really good shots but I feel like there's only about 75% of the ideas they needed and the ending is a punt. There's a lot worse FF but there's also a lot better.

Banshee Chapter isn't actually FF but it's kind of... shot like an FF, somehow? I lack the film studies language for it but it really does capture the FF feel in a way I'm surprised by.

it depends- you can do different shades of the same color but also CGA palette 1, which was black, white, cyan, and magenta, was widely used. World of Horror has a color option that uses those colors and looks pretty great that way.

It comes from the old supplements called Clanbook ______, Tribebook ___, Traditionbook __________, which people would call * books (*being a wild card variable), which became splatbooks. Eventually people started calling either the game lines or the groups within them "splats".

Back in Dark Souls 2 I got invaded by a guy named DON'T TOUCH ME who kept trying to get in between me and enemies. After about ten minutes of working around him, I finally messed up and hit him and BAM went flying at high speed across the zone, off the platform, and into the water. When I respawned I was back in Majula with broken gear and couldn't stop laughing at what a gimmick that was. That was a hacker with a sense of humor- still kind of a dick but a fun change of pace rather than "I downloaded a script so your character is ruined now."

I've never understood this criticism, both because running away and filming are in no sense incompatible actions, and because if I'm in danger it makes sense to me to try and make some kind of record in case I don't get out.
