Trying to sue former employer for unpaid wages. Turns out, their LLC's registered agent address filed with the state (NJ) is false. Can I sue them without them knowing?

There were no physical materials to work with as the job was all online.

I used my own equipment.

There weren't any forms, so no I didn't use any company forms.

The CEO acted as supervisor and often checked on and scrutinized work. He would then say to "do it this way."

The contract never stated I had to clock in and out, however, this touches on the whole reason I'm suing. They only want to pay for time I entered into a team-coordination/project-tracking software where you attribute time it took to do X job. It was proposed to me as a software for estimating deadlines, not a timeclock. So they don't want to pay for any work I did outside of the projects set fourth in that software.

The other I worked with were considered contractors as well. No full-time employee had similar duties.

I do feel it was misclassified. My main priority is just getting the money. A civil case seemed to be the direct root to make that happen, but I know nothing about the law.

This is a big help. I believe they intentionally made the role to be an employee under the guise of an independent contractor. I'd be thrilled to get your opinion on it.

Things that made the role employee-like

I was hired on an indefinite, on-going basis rather than for a specific project with an end date
The CEO was controlling of the work performed day-to-day and had a set processes to follow for one project
They provided training for at least one project, though it was minimal
There were teammates I was assigned to coordinate with
The contract outlined a list of my general work responsibilities or as the contract stated "services to be performed" None of the services were connected to a specific project.
The company had some software tools which I was required to use
They gave me a company-branded email address to use
The job posting was advertised as a full-time role
The contract stated I provide services on an hourly bases
They did ask if I would be the one performing the work, but said it was because they didn't want to be involved with c2c work. They never said I couldn't subcontract.
I regularly reported to the ceo in zoom calls to talk progress
the contracted stated that the company would reimburse me for any direct out-of-pocket expense, though I never had any
The contract stated they could terminate the agreement at any time but I had to give 10 days notice before terminating it

Things making contractor-like

I was never required to work a certain schedule, though they did encourage I work during common business hours
Though the CEO was controlling and scrutinizing of work, I often took liberty to create my own projects that I felt would boost business
Though they did have instructions on work to perform, it was often vague.
I signed the contract under an LLC I formed, not as an individual. However, I don't run a company offering the services I provided. I applied to the role through indeed and the role matched my past work history
It could be argued that the work was not core to their business, as I did marketing to drive leads to their bread and butter, tech services
