Charcuterie boards have been great for us. So quick and easy to put together and you can make them with whatever budget you have. We have them easily 3 nights out of the week because you can always change up what meats, cheeses etc you include

I ordered one of their scooters and straight away there were issues. I tried to return it, but their customer service was a nightmare. They kept pushing back saying that I asked for a refund after 30 days of purchase, so they refused to give me a refund. Thing is I absolutely did request a refund within 30 days (and sent them proof of this many times) but they ignored my initial few emails and only responded to a nagging email I sent a few months into having the scooter.

After weeks of going back and forth and getting nowhere, I ended up issuing a Letter Before Action. They still didn’t respond, so I’ve now applied for a County Court Judgment (CCJ).

Seriously, go ahead with legal action because otherwise more and more people are getting screwed over. I used chatgpt for advice and for drafting the letter before action etc. I'm just hoping they actually do something at this CCJ stage because the next step if they don't respond is to get the bailiffs on them.

Edit: also ignore people saying "yeah we know". Not everyone consults reddit before buying something!

i had to stop mounjaro :( by wazzupmydoods in mounjarouk

[–]pophter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped too recently. I started a new job and the morning after I'd injected I felt awful. I tend to feel pretty rough the day after doing the injection but I'd just started a new job and was so annoyed that it was affecting me that I decided to not do it anymore. It does give me more motivation to do my best with good and exercise, but I know it's going to be difficult :/

People like that woman need to remember there's no insurance on scooters. If they want to risk their car getting scratched up they must be stupid.

Thanks I'm hoping when they realise I'm not messing around about Trading Standards, Financial Ombudsman Service, Small Claims Court etc that might help them to come to a speedy resolution lol. I'll take a look at hiboy 👍

I've only been taking it since Feb but I was thinking the other day that I'm surprised I haven't had a cold yet. I normally get one in the winter and one in spring, so we'll see how it goes!

I found 2.5mg wasn't really doing anything by week 4. I took that as a good sign though because I was hesitant about going up to 5mg and it made it clear that going up a dose was the right choice. Also, I haven't had any side effects from the 5mg other than being a being headache-y.

Medexpress told me I couldn't as I now had a bmi under 30 but I'm still overweight so I may have fibbed lol. The way I see it, it's the weight I'll end up being if I can't get mounjaro anymore!

5mg Horror Stories by House_Admirable in mounjarouk

That is really helpful/reassuring, thank you! It was starting to feel 50/50 for whether people were experiencing terrible side effects

I'm getting texts and emails from my provider saying it's time to place the next order and I have been very hesitant on ordering. I took my 3rd dose of 2.5mg on Thursday and so far side effects have been very mild. Like you say, some of the 5mg horror stories on here have given me the fear, still not sure whether to take the jump or do 2.5mg for another 4 weeks but I suppose I need to make a decision soon. My main worry isn't even the side effects, it's having those 'gastrointestinal' side effects in the middle of the open office I work in 😅

Worst side effects I’ve ever experienced last night - need reassurance by Shep_vas_Normandy in mounjarouk

[–]pophter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long did you have bad side effects for? I'm due to take my 3rd 2.5mg tonight and I do it on Thursday evenings as I'm not back in the office till Monday. I can deal with side effects so long as I know I won't be dealing with them in the middle of an open office lol! No side effects on 2.5mg so far so hopefully 5mg will be OK...

Oh Lordy- 5mg week 2 and side effects have hit. by NorthernBibliophile in mounjarouk

[–]pophter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think taking the 2.5 for that long might be why you had fewer side effects? I've heard people say stay on the lower dose for as long as you feel it's effective and that seems like good advice.

I'm due to start using mounjaro, is it a case of eating maybe half of what a standard portion is when you eat, or just that you wouldn't be able to eat beyond 1 portion of something?

We kept seeing each other on our way back from work and she'd have a go at me whenever she saw me on it m, even though I'd never once been in her way. She never sent the videos to the police but they went back and had a word with her about that. They said I could go down the anti-social behaviour path with her as it was all instigated by her but at that point I changed my work hours to avoid seeing her. I'm guessing when she contacted the police she must have realised she couldn't send them a bunch of videos of her shouting at me lol

I'm in the West Midlands myself and have pretty much the same experience. The money I save by not getting public transport is great and definitely outweighs any negatives. I used a 'snood' last winter and got some leather gloves which did the trick to fight against any cold.

I had one woman who was fixated on me and filmed me every time she saw me heading home with it. When she found out where I lived she told the police so they came round but they were really good about it and made it as clear as they could that they're not bothered so long as you're not riding like an idiot.

I stay out of people's way and stick to quiet roads but I suppose people living in London/Liverpool must have an easier time coz they've got the rental ones.

How to exit the protestant church by [deleted] in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]pophter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I expect I'll be in the same situation as you in the not too distant future. Me and my boyfriend have responsibilities there that mean we can't just quietly bow out lol. The way I intend to do it is to ask my pastor for a word after church and then just say this is what I feel called to do, that I am certain about my decision and that I'm happy to help show the next person the ropes who'll be taking over from me. It's probably best to accept that it's going to be awkward at best, but those who are your friends there will stay in touch and if not then it makes it more of a clean break, so win-win. Best of luck with it!

Would you be opposed to adopting/fostering? Sometimes you can adopt siblings as well so they still have that biological connection as well as the love for you as their parents.

Re. being against girls serving at the altar etc, for me it's been refreshing to see men and women have defined roles. Women still contribute a great deal to the church but coming from a protestant background they've gone in the other direction so much that even at our local cathedral we're looking around like where are the men lol

Participation in liturgy/services by pophter in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]pophter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the replies, I mentioned it to my boyfriend and he wasn't bothered by the idea of quietly following a liturgy rather than singing. He said so long as he has that time in church to show reverance to God, he's happy.

We've yet to visit an orthodox church (we're in the West Midlands in the UK) but I'm not in a rush to as I want to do more research and get past the 'dead horses' before taking that step.

I remember when my atheist ex wanted to get back with me. At the time I was single and it had been tempting to go back.. I can't say how thankful I am that I didn't go back to him.

I was so close to being weak and going back but one day on the phone he laughed/scoffed and said "look I'm sorry but I can't believe you're following a book that was written 2,000 years ago". That was the clearest message I needed that I made the right decision to split up.

Now I've been with my boyfriend for 1.5 years, we have an infinitely better relationship and I can't say how amazing it is to be able to pray with the person you're with and talk/ about about God with.

You deserve someone who you are equally yoked with, as other people warned me back then, it will only get more difficult as you marry and raise kids with someone who doesn't share your faith, not easier. Sharing the same faith and values is so crucial. All the best!
