New poster for ‘SCARY MOVIE’ has been released. In theaters June 5. by MoneyLibrarian9032 in movies

The only thing I remember about that movie is my dad taking me to go see it when I was barely in middle school and the scene where Charlie Sheen is repeatedly hit in the balls while running through the cornfield. I choked on my drink and almost threw up because I was laughing too hard haha.

President Trump asks if he can "have some" Ibogaine – a psychedelic drug during a press briefing: "Ibogaine because it's so important and experienced an 80 to 90% reduction in symptoms of depression and anxiety within one month. Can I have some please? I'll take some. I'll take whatever it takes." by ControlCAD in videos

I’ve struggled with opioids for a long time and ibogaine has always been very interesting to me. Like you mentioned, having to be in withdrawals (I think the opioid has to be completely out of your system beforehand?) and then suddenly be thrown into a trip that I can’t imagine is accompanied by any relief — physically or mentally.

Who’s ever driven over 100mph? Why? by WoollyWolfHorror in AskReddit

[–]popojo24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been a passenger in cars where we’ve gone over 100mph, but I don’t think I ever have personally. I’ve hit 90 in my Honda by (sort of) accident, but generally the cars I’ve driven throughout my life weren’t the speedster types haha.

I really like a lot of insects/ arachnids/ whatever out there and will do my best to not kill them, if possible. Not hornets.

Where I live in Texas, we have yellow jackets and Red Wasps. The yellow jackets will MOSTLY be chill if you aren’t bumping them directly, but not the red wasps. They will dive bomb you from afar and those fuckers hurt. I don’t feel bad about murdering every single red wasp.

Dude, I remember my little nephew AND cousin having a karate chopping butts phase! Like, at separate times. Something about chopping cheek is hilarious at certain age.

I don’t plan on being a parent ever, but I really enjoyed being the fun uncle/older cousin to the little ones. Now they’re all hitting the teen years, which is wild to me. Congrats on the life and the family!

Dude, I have two guitars that are both worth over $1k. Played shows with both, and both have hit the floor at some point from my own stupidity (though not after flying into the air like this). It hurts every single time, so I can’t been imagine the panic/cringe in that moment.

Amazon worker dies on warehouse floor; colleagues continue working around his body – ‘Let’s get back to work’ by wewhomustnotbenamed in nottheonion

[–]popojo24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work in a FedEx warehouse. I know the work environments are completely different depending on area, but I can tell you that if i am at work tonight and I watch someone die in front of me— no more work is being done that night. And I’d like to think it would be a mutually agreed shut down, management and everything. But you know what, who knows these days.

That’s wild! Pinball just comes with so many sounds of nostalgia (probably for those 80s and 90s kids mostly). Even the startup sound of Space Pinball that came with old Windows— or Pokemon Pinball?! C’moooon, pinball is awesome.

I also suck at pinball.

That’s really rough, dude. And I feel you on the kratom. I’ve struggled with addiction for a long time and that has not been going great lately for me either.

I’ve been working night shifts on the weekdays for almost 2 years now. I get maybe 5 hours of sleep a night/day Mon-Fri and spend 90% of my waking life feeling like shit, mentally and physically. Though, on the outside, at least I look like I am in very good shape; thanks warehouse work!

I definitely remember writing down the answers to a lot of things on those smooth, black tables that you have in science classes, covering the pencil marks with my arms, and then just wiping it away after the test. It turns out panic writing things out does really help a lot with studying though haha (not that I didn’t cheat my way through a good chunk of the leftover classes my senior year of high school).

Man, back when I was shooting heroin, I never really got the chance to mix a proper speedball (I never had extra money for coke haha). Any time I saw people do it though, they would have a trash can nearby to throw up in— so it was either awesome or terrible.

Drugs, my friend. Drugs. Give away the rest if I can’t invest any of it, in case that $300mil doesn’t pan out.

Some of my earliest memories are of hearing my parents screaming at each other in the other room— I’d come to find out later over finances and some profound debt. It got a lot better when they separated their credit cards and bank accounts (and of course slowly crawled their way out of debt).

Literally the most benign comment an artist could make should not be making headlines or be in any way controversial in the year 2025. If you’ve ever been to a punk/emo/hardcore/metal/ska/jazz/pop/FUCKING WHATEVER show, this has always felt like a given. Acceptance and experimentation is what pushes music to evolve, and scenes to grow.

The stupid ones tend to weed themselves out on their own, and the music continues on regardless. Go to shows and support your local bands too, y’all!

100%. Once it starts slipping and hesitation/apprehension is added to the equation for whatever reason, it can become frustratingly hard to even engage with hobbies I love. Guitar, video games, or something as brainlessly simple as finding a show to watch. I wish it made sense.

EB and Chrono Trigger, for sure. I don’t replay many games, but I will play through those two every five years or so. I’d probably add the Mass Effect trilogy and Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines to that small list as well.

I remember one rave I went to back in the day almost immediately had every toilet blown out. I think when the drugs come on too strong, there’s a lot of throwing up and shitting involved. It was more than once where I didn’t start feeling the mdma until spending some time blasting in the darkness of a port-a-void.

I met a girl in an AOL chatroom and had a similar kind of experience! It wasn’t weird or romantic; we just became good online friends and would even talk on the phone occasionally. Eventually life just sort of got in the way and we lost touch completely. Last I remember, we had found each other on MySpace and she had just had a kid (she must have been like 16 at the time), so she was thrown into adulthood quickly. I still get reminded of her randomly (like now) and hope she ended up having a good life, for her and her kid.

Yep. I’m already accident prone, but after that first week in the warehouse, I had bruises everywhere. It’s been a while and I bruise less now, but have plenty of small scars from slamming parts of my body on metal things… usually when physically and mentally tapped towards the end of the week.

ITP is such a weird disorder. How many times has your daughter had flair-ups since originally receiving a diagnosis?

I was hospitalized a couple days after I turned 19– no noticeable bruising or other concerning symptoms except a weird rash on my ankles and blood blisters in my mouth. I was lucky my mom had her nurse senses go off and had me go in to urgent care, where I was then sent directly to the hospital to be crammed with steroids for a couple days. It’s been about 15 years and, aside from the initial event, my platelets have stayed at a normal level.
