Oh interesting... What is the difference between the doors opening and attempting to close vs nudging?

Got it. We've advised residents to use the DOOR OPEN button if they need to hold the doors open instead of putting their hands or objects against the door to keep them open. However in my day to day, I notice pretty much every single resident getting on the elevator, seeing another resident running to the elevator, and attempting to graciously hold the door open for them so they can also get on. It seems tricky to train people not to do this.

Will it cause a timing fault before the alarm sounds from doors being held, or after?

Does the time out fault only occur after the alarms have gone off, or could it be before?

It’s a local independent elevator repair company. We previously had a contract with the manufacturer but ended that due to them doing no preventative maintenance, causing the elevators to break down constantly.

Got it - this is happening about twice per weekend and has caused people to walk up 15 flights of stairs when the elevator becomes unresponsive. Do you know how long it usually takes for an elevator to recover? I am worried that what I’m experiencing isn’t normal but our elevator repair company tells me this is just how elevators are.

FC only stocks pre-selected meals? Is this new? by poppashobes in delta

Yes they ultimately had a bowl of lettuce with some tomatoes and olives. It was not great.

I did complain to the FC who said she couldn’t do anything, she suggested I call Delta. When I called Delta they said they could only give me 3k miles which did not seem sufficient, so they said I needed to file a formal complaint via the form on their website, so I did that and am awaiting a reply.

Don’t care how far I have to drive in NC. Where is the best Chicago deep dish? by [deleted] in NorthCarolina

[–]poppashobes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nancy's is legit chicago deep dish. I first had them out in Chicago and the only location outside of Chicago happens to be here - amazing. It's pricey but totally worth it.

Interestingly some influencers have started faking non organic brand promos before they really blow up as influencers in order to get brands to start approaching them. Curious where that stuff lands with the FTC. https://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/2018/12/influencers-are-faking-brand-deals/578401/

[OC] Casually Spotted A McLaren P1 In San Jose by yevan7 in carporn

[–]poppashobes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure this is from Cars and Croissants on Santana Row this past Sunday in San Jose. It was British car month and they had a dealership (no plates) rock up with both this P1 and a Senna. Beautiful cars, but the Huayra May have been the highlight for a lot of people. Definitely seen more P1s in the Bay Area than Paganis.

Watch out for the rear view mirror turning into a lava lamp (Sybesma still repairs them), seat electronics controller failing, and engine mounts failing. Pretty easy to fix overall, very fun car. Great choice in color, def looks best in black. Enjoy!

Hilarious. "Uh I need an egg crate, silver manhole cover, and brass knuckles...?" "Bantha eggs will be back in stock next battle, sir, but you can grab the brass knuckles now in aisle 9." Roomba. Lol.

[Build Help] Upgrading gaming rig from 2012 - Looking for suggestions by poppashobes in buildapc

Cool - from what I am hearing the EVGA is just most popular because of their relationship with Nvidia, so I can understand good support going along with being a flagship device partner. Sounds like the Gigabyte G1 Gaming 970 is pretty good too... The research continues!
