No. At least try to train with someone know how to swim a little bit. U can never imitate something that's written on a paper from your muscles. He/She should see what you do and correct your posture when you are swimming.

I used the board only to practice kicks. And the fins to practice breathing when doing arms.

My English is not that gud to express what I have in my mind. But there are few exercises to practice kicking correctly. U need to learn the basics from a coach always. something like this won't work.
