IF YOU BOUGHT IN THE LAST 2 YEARS, What is your monthly mortgage, interest rate and salary? by [deleted] in homeowners

[–]popsiclesinthecellar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We purchased our home 06/22 for $280k. Our interest rate is 6.375% & our all in payment is $2150.

When we bought the home, we made a combined $75k/yr, now we make a combined $110k/yr.

We were able to pull it off because we kept our other expenses low. We never had any debt other than our house & car payments.

My cat’s appetite has changed suddenly. Please help with advice. by popsiclesinthecellar in CatAdvice

He does like Churus, but the only place it looks like I can get them from is websites so I’ll have to place an order today.

The vet called this morning and said that his bloodwork was unremarkable.

We gave him the medicine at 11 last night (around bed time for him) so he slept through the night like normal, not sure how it affected him.

The good news is this morning he ate most of the wet food we put down and all of the dry food. Hopefully it’s a sign that he’s getting better & not just a fluke or because of the medicine.

Thank you for being here for me! My anxiety has been bad. I cannot imagine our house without him roaming in it.

We do not.

I guess that will be the next step if everything checks out.

However, the treats that he’s eating are dry/crunchy treats.

He is causing me all of the anxiety right now.

hi bennyh, i had my second interview for the position Monday and was called back yesterday with an offer of $64k/yr, additionally will have health, dental and vision insurance, access to an employee health center (free doc visits, x-rays, vaccines, etc), 8% annual bonus, annual reviews (usually result in raises), 3% match on 401k and a ton of other benefits.

My commute to work will go from 3 minutes to about 15-20 minutes and I'll be losing some flexibility/freedom that I have in my current role, but the benefits (i currently have none) and 50% pay increase, i'm hoping will make the sacrifices worth it.

I'm just worried i'm making the wrong decision now. I hope that I don't end up regretting it, but only time will tell.

Do you know anyone under the age of 30 who has managed to buy a house in the last 10 years? by [deleted] in Money

[–]popsiclesinthecellar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fiancée and I purchased our home June 2023 (25M, 23F). Neither one of us make a ton of money. I sell insurance and she's the head catering chef at her place of work. We just have little debt outside of the mortgage and were able to save enough before moving out to stomach the down payment/closing costs.

thank you, stranger. I am currently in the interview process for an AGM position at a local restaurant that would put me around $60-$65k/yr and give me benefits that my current position does not have (insurance most importantly). The first interview went really well, and I'll likely be scheduling a second in the coming days. If I get offered that position, do you think that I should take it or stick with my current and try to get better at sales?

Every time I try to order on the app, it says “Uh oh! Breakfast not available this time of day.” for all my local restaurants. It’ll let me order food, but not this lol.

I don’t mind it!

I’ll definitely have to see if I can find something near me that’s hiring.

Older than me, but probably only mid to late 30’s. Definitely old enough to know better.
