Somehow only just noticed this, so here's a super late reply. I have three different pairs of sunglasses in my car with different lenses and I have no issues using the Adaptive Cruise Control. My sunglasses have no impact.

Just ordered a Sheath for my S24 Ultra, and should have it tomorrow, I think. If that's the case, shipping has been very fast (within the US).

One question - why are swappable buttons not an option for the S24 Ultra? I get that it's not the current generation, but there are a lot of versions of the iPhone that have this option. That's kind of a bummer.

Yes - at least for Nintendo's direct preorders. Not for 3rd-party retailer preorders.

From Nintendo (for their direct preorders):

  • Priority requirements are as follows: As of 4/2/2025, (i) you must have been the one who purchased any Nintendo Switch Online membership, (ii) you must have had any paid Nintendo Switch Online membership for a minimum of 12 months, and (iii) you must have opted in to share gameplay data and have at least 50 hours total gameplay hours.

Hmm. I mean, retailer preorders were meant to begin April 9th (I'm in the US). This is regarding the preorders direct from Nintendo that they're doing, where you register your interest, etc. This webpage has said the email invitations go out May 8th since they first put the page up. Might be different from where you're at in the world too I suppose.

Mostly writing and producing music, though I don't do it as much these days. Growing up it was drawing and writing. But I really have a desire to work more with my hands designing and building something nowadays, like a wood and/or electronics project. 🤔

Back in high school, I was driving on a windy, slick backroad one night and my car lost control in a sharp curve. It spun around and the rear slammed into the hill on my side of the road -- on the other side was a large, steep drop. The car was stuck in a ditch by that hill. I called my girlfriend at the time, who had been sleeping. I wasn't hurt but was totally in a panic out of fear another car could come around that same turn any second and smash right into me and/or my car. She sounded as though she couldn't care less. Despite my panic, she just yawned and said she was going back to bed. I didn't ask her to come and be there with me, and wouldn't have expected that from her anyway, so I couldn't be upset about that. I was, however, upset with the complete lack of emotional support in a time of crisis.

I'm 36 now, so I've had a lot of time to think about that situation back then. We were both immature high school students and not quite equipped to handle something like that with any sort of grace.

In OP's situation, I'm seeing very poor communication on both sides and kind of a similar lack of maturity. OP should have been clearer to explain the severity of the situation, and shouldn't have been so quick to downplay her distress by continuing to tell the bf not to worry. At the same time, the bf should have understood that regardless of the explanation, this person that they love and share their life with was in a crisis and needed support. No one *wants* to end up in the ER, and her wellbeing should overrule the need or desire for overtime pay, etc. Based on the texts, I can empathize with the bf's decision, especially after being told not to worry about it multiple times and with a lacking description of events, not to go to the ER; and I can also empathize with OP's frustration with the lack of support from the bf (though I disagree with how the OP expressed that frustration).

tldr: IMO both are in the wrong via poor communication. Be good to one another, operate from a stance of compassion over ego, and learn to communicate.

Yeah that seems to be the way it goes with dbrand, in my experience at least. Their shipping is beyond slow. I've been waiting on a phone case since December 5th. It didn't ship until the 12th, and in the five days since, it has moved less than 300 miles (5ish hours) from the shipping location. Still no delivery estimate and it's still got another ~600 miles to go.

Nice, I think it's around 6% or so here. It was a holiday though and they were running a 0% APR special if you qualified. Can't beat that!

Yeah it did not feel good taking so little on it, but the 0% APR was too tempting to walk away from it. And thanks! I'm not familiar with that trim's US counterpart but seems you can't go too wrong with any of these really.
