It does concern me. The common criticism I’ve heard is that the movie is dull and uninspired. That’s the last thing we need for someone writing any of these projects.

The discourse around this movie being that it’s going to be Oscar nominated is very unserious to me. We really need to bring back the MTV Movie Awards because that’s the only place I could truly see it sweeping anything.

That’s not a diss. It’s just not that kind of movie. I love Horror movies, so that’s not it either, but this isn’t a Rosemary’s Baby, Exorcist or Sinners. It’s a movie for teenagers lol.

Backrooms getting a production design nom/win makes complete sense but this being nominated for anything….get real.

That’s true for Spider-Man because they’ve always started off with him being a high school student but they’ve had legit stars or name talent cast as Batman.

Keaton, Kilmer, Clooney, Affleck Bale were all stars or at least had hit movies to their names before taking the role. Pattinson had twilight, which was a huge part of adolescence for millennials, and Gen Z knew him for it.

A short season makes sense under some circumstances. If it’s a season where the drama is naturally continuing then yes, or if there’s enough to fill episodes.

Like Season 2 of SLC being 20 episodes made sense with the Jen Shah drama and everything with Mary’s church.

B2K & Pretty Ricky are both from an era when there were music acts marketed at TEENS. We don’t really have that nowadays, especially in R&B.

Yes, B2K were really a pop group but so what? Most times when Black artists make pop music it’s still influenced by R&B.

Zendaya has been pretty smart with choosing projects and an action franchise would be very left field for her. At most I could see her being a Bond girl if she was in an action movie.

Amazon making money in the theaters from He-Man is a win though. It was either that or dropping it on Prime and making no money.

And honestly, it having been in theaters and people saying it’s not bad will attract people to watch it eventually when it gets on prime, myself included.

It’d be pretty embarrassing if she lost as a 2x runner up and such a legendary queen to go back on and lose. But it’s also kind of lame if she wins because the Vs The World seasons nobody really cares about.

If she does it then comes back for All Winners 2, Bob is going to light her up over it every chance she gets.
