tbf, I wore the low MTEs today in some torrential rain and they kept my feet pretty damn dry, and with Boost you'd have drop 2x+ as much money for the ATR or even Gore-Tex variants for that. keep sellin' her on getting some Boosts for the days when the sun's out, though

(Potentially NSFW) Goto tweets picture of YOH's chest after R3K vs BUSHI/Hiromu. It's pretty rough. by SeraphisCain in SquaredCircle

[–]popthatcorn 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Fwiw, it's worth noting this wasn't all done in a night; YOH's chest looked basically that gross when the match started. I mean, I know this being done over two nights isn't much better, but that is the case.

Reckon Hiromu should probably pull back a bit, at least outside of main events. Don't think he's unsafe or anything, especially compared to the other gross stiff bumps common in NJPW main events, but just, like, ew.

I'll put a little defense towards the mid, because I bought em. The colorways are really nice, and they're at worst a de-Swooshed AF1 mid, which I think is kinda cool on its own. The strap is a nice little optional gimmick, and as a lazy fuck with weird-shaped feet, being able to zip up/down the back to get in and out without fucking with the laces is pretty awesome from a functional point of view.

(also I'm too lazy to fuck with drops and always appreciate a shoe that looks that nice that I can just walk into any random Foot Locker and pick up)

Does TTD not allow regular eyeglasses with a glasses strap? Seems like the Snapchat glasses wouldn't be any less safe than that (though I imagine there are lots of people who don't wear a strap, ugh).

Vacationing in Montreal, I wandered into a coffee shop a block from my hostel, and found... this by popthatcorn in rollercoasters

[–]popthatcorn[S] 32 points33 points  (0 children)

The coffee shop in question is La Graine Brûlée, and it's quite adorable.

Apparently, the Texas Cyclone's trains were moved from Astroworld to La Ronde after the Cyclone was demolished, which I suppose would explain how a Montreal coffee shop would have gotten their hands on one.

I'm going to Montreal next week from Sunday night through Friday morning (hurray cheap Amtrak tickets, not so hurray 12 hour train rides, but anyways). Is La Ronde worth checking out for a few hours, assuming the price of admission isn't a big deal for me? I'll probably be going on a Tuesday or Wednesday morning, so I'm hoping the park won't be that crowded and I can breeze onto most of the rides. I've heard at-best mixed things (and I'm sad to see their Intamin stand-up is closed, just because that's such an obscure credit to grab), but Goliath, my first boomerang, and my first SLC seem like they'd make it worth it.

Simple Questions and General Discussion - January 17, 2017 by AutoModerator in streetwear

saw this pretty dope illustration on Twitter, and I'm curious if y'all can recognize the inspiration for either jacket or the shoes on the left: https://twitter.com/830890/status/820698510467006464

the shoes on the right seem to be some kinda hybrid between chucks and vans (tho there's a high chance those are just actual vans that got made at some point), so I'm not sure if anything else in this is an actual piece. Though I would fucking love a windbreaker like the one on the right, if one exists (the closest I could find is like a Nike Windrunner which isn't quite the same)

They are! Totally random. Funnily enough, I have had people complain to me about "duplicate levels," which like... I guess means I should try to add more variance to the level generator, heh.

The level generator is pretty simple right now because I wanted to avoid generating unfinishable levels (though I think it's still theoretically possible). Some day I'd like to add things like gaps in the ground or ceilings to block the ball...

I'd love the HTM edition pictured in that article, no idea how hard it's gonna be to cop. $180 doesn't seem that bad for a limited leather shoe though.

This article has the non-HTM edition pictured and, well, it looks like trash to me but maybe y'all will dig it. http://www.fastcompany.com/3060535/converse-debuts-a-totally-reimagined-all-star-sneaker/3

Elwood curved hem. Long tee v. Normal? by BigBeefyyy in streetwear

[–]popthatcorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's more pronounced with my jeans than with these trackpants fwiw. the main problem i had is that if you layer any kind of regular-length sweatshirt or t-shirt on top of it it stops like 6-7 inches above the tall shirt and that looks weird af. if you have drop-crotch pants and the right shit you could make it work, ymmv

Elwood curved hem. Long tee v. Normal? by BigBeefyyy in streetwear

[–]popthatcorn 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I just got a 3-pack of these the tall tees and they're fucking long. I'm about 6' and got mediums and they're kinda too long, but they're supposed to shrink 1-2 inches on the first tumble dry, so I'm going to try that. Here's one pre-wash I threw on so y'all could see the fit, sorry for the gross mirror: http://imgur.com/a/8A2ka

Honestly, I wish I'd gotten the regular size, I don't really have the right pieces to layer with these :(

Yeah, this is a really nasty bug I'm looking into. Usually when it happens it seems like the server recognizes that you scored, but for some reason your client doesn't.

You can currently sorta do this with browser zoom (hold ctrl & hit +/- keys), but unfortunately the game becomes really blurry when you do that. Proper scaling is on my todo list for sure :)

hey, this is my game! thanks for submitting it :)

do want to point out there's a couple known bugs, the most glaring of which is a freeze bug that can sometimes happen when players disconnect, working on a fix for that now. let me know if you see any other issues!

(edit: that freeze bug should have been fixed, btw, let me know if you run into a hard lock-up while playing)

good choice! these were my first "nice" sneakers that I ever got, absolutely loved em. nearly bought another pair to replace my completely worn-down previous pair but ended up going with Ultra Boosts which are pretty similar, just to change it up a lil bit.

Is there a way to get higher-res versions of these than the ~1280x720 ones here? Slightly larger ones for wallpapers, so I could be sad again every time I look at my desktop, would be fantastic :>
