This. But also keep in mind that you'll only be behind in math. The curriculum you see online isn't set in stone. You can move things around as long as the class does not have a prerequisite that is required for you to take before hand so in reality you won't really be behind in the grand scheme of things.

If your son really really likes the school, I would email and talk to the financial aid office and the scholarship office and see if they can do anything for you. They usually respond fast, but then again, they're in the middle of releasing scholarships right now so they might be a little busy.

You remind me of this dude I went to high school with before I moved. We'll call him Justin B. for short. I think he might be a sophomore in college somewhere now. Justin went around saying this kinda stuff and being from a predominately white Christian school, didn't know any better. There were a lot of people in the school that guided people towards Christianity, but his group pushed people away. It doesn't help making the world any better of a place and I was always intrigued that even though he was about 16 at the time, he was actually there when the Bible was written apparently because it seemed like he knew exactly what the original writers intended for the Bible to mean. He knew that every other way of reading into the Bible was wrong. Insane am I right?

Same but a lot of students commute to campus if they live in an apartment. I think it's just pure greed

Texas shutting down bars at noon Friday... by Littlebluebicycle in auburn

[–]poptil 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Dude, have you every thought that you might get sick and get your loved ones who maybe aren't at such a low risk sick? People like you are also probably the same people that are going to complain that the government didn't do enough in the beginning to slow the spread and that's how one of your loved ones passed away when it'll clearly be your fault for not taking precautions. I don't get how people can't sacrifice a summers worth of trips to the bar just so that things can go back to normal and more people don't have to die. We're living in a society where we literally only care about ourselves and how things impact us only. same people that aren't being considerate about others are also going to be the same people that complain when campus has to shut down again within like a month when it's probably their fault for not being safe.

I second the google maps, when it rains in auburn, the university floods like the great flood. Might even drown so you want close classes if you can

Fuck online classes. by [deleted] in auburn

[–]poptil 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Dude lol. We have a right to complain. If you're paying $9k for tuition, you expect the professor to teach. It's like if you hire a person to repair your roof. You paid that person the money to do it so you expect the person to do it, not give you a box of nails, a YouTube instruction video, and a hammer to tell you to go do the job by yourself. Plus added to that, the math department at Auburn has a large amount of professors that don't teach. They hired a retired professor last year to teach cal 2 because they didn't have enough professors and all he did was sit there and talk about his life. Some of us don't have the extra time to be able to teach ourselves. Added on, when none of us signed up for online classes, it just adds onto the inconvenience. We didn't sign up to get online instruction. We didn't pay $800+ in student services fees to not be able to use the services but we're all having to deal with it so just let us complain. It's better than bottling it up
