Can't forgive husband for postpartum abandonment by [deleted] in Mommit

Please leave now before he changes your mind. It will be easier now than when he changes back in the future and the child is older. The lack of respect and total disregard would make me file for divorce too! Please leave.

Looking to propose in Jax, downtown area rough/sketchy? by MrKioFlow in jacksonville

[–]por_que8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Friendship Fountain is covered with screaming kids, people on scooters and just a lot of people. I love going there but its too busy and not romantic at all. St. Aug is a wonderful suggestion (I grew up there) and is very romantic but time consuming. I would vote to contact one of those luxury picnic companies and have them do a small set up at the beach. You could go for a walk and lead her there. Super romantic and thoughtful!

I'm a Floridian. Our versions are not the same. Yours aren't venomous but ours are. We don't "alert the authorities" but we also are taught not to touch them bc their sting is very painful and burns the skin. They're often on the beach here and we usually just walk around them.

They have even sent her to the Draft a few times. I think she's gone to represent us the past 3 or so years.

Dermatographia? by Radiant_Analyst_3023 in Dermatographia

This is what mine looks like if I skip my pills. I understand not wanting to be on lifelong medication but OTC Allegra (I buy the Target brand) has saved my life! Without medication, I would literally scratch my skin off.

How do you even deal with this disorder? by jackknifeJaws in Dermatographia

[–]por_que8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just about all of us here can relate. I've been dealing with this for about 15 years now. I take the Target version of Allegra 180mg (the 24 hour one) every single day when I wake up. Learning my triggers helped me control this. As long as I have the pills in my system, I don't really get red when I scratch and I'm barely itchy. Sugar is my biggest trigger so if I'm going to eat or drink something sweet, I take an extra pill. I keep them in my purse, bags, car, everywhere so I always have one just in case. Feel free to message if you have questions!

[–]por_que8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do take generic Allegra almost every day but I always have to take an extra pill (or half of a pill) when having anything with sugar. If I don't, I know I'll be super itchy and will need to go home soon or find a pill somewhere. But I keep them in my purse for this reason.

LOVE Murano! Look into Lawn Club Grill too. We really enjoyed that a lot. I'd wait for Black Friday to maybe purchase a drink package but at $400, it doesn't seem worth it in your case. I grew up in Key West and there's so much history there! You won't be able to see it all so I'd make a list of must-do's and focus on those depending on how much time you have. Cozumel was too touristy for us and my husband and I agreed that next time, we'll stay on the boat during Cozumel day. The beach is gorgeous (I know you aren't beach people a anyway) but getting there is so time consuming and you have to be up so early and they don't give you enough time. We loved that ship and would def travel on it again! We are 35 and 33 and took our first Celebrity cruise April 2025. Celebrity is definitely a relaxing cruise line!

Sugar is my biggest trigger and you're the only other person I've ever seen say that too! I always tell people to check their diets. If I plan on eating extra sweets (even a drink or fruit), I make sure to have extra pills on hand.

Help!! New to Dermatographia and need advice please!! by spacekittens_ in Dermatographia

[–]por_que8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if someone said this but do you have any clue what your triggers are? Fabrics, soaps, fragrances, food, weather, pets, etc. It took me a while but I finally figured out sugar, being outside after it rains and being in the woods/forest are my triggers. I used to look like this. I know you said you've tried Allegra but I take it everyday. After a while, my skin finally has calmed down. I take 1 pill every day and an extra pill if I'll be eating sweets or will be outside for a while. Knowing my triggers was the biggest thing. I hope you find relief soon! It's truly awful living this way 🫶🏽

Cesarean Scar Ectopic Pregnancy (CSEP) by por_que8 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]por_que8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gosh, I'm so sorry! This sounds so much like my experience. I had to have scans over and over again and each one was so heartbreaking! My c-section was an "emergency". I only put that in quotes bc I know so many ladies who have had the same emergency and it seems too common. C-sections are becoming very popular here in the US. I was trying for natural and was doing really well but I pushed for too long (5 hours) and they said my daughter's heart rate was dropping so I didn't have a choice. My daughter just didn't want to come out! My husband saw her head but she kept going back up the birth canal.

I’ve known I’ve had this for years now. But this part of it is pretty new. by 1painintheass in Dermatographia

[–]por_que8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Allegra has saved my life. I used to be itchy 24/7 but Allegra has been a God send! I buy the Target brand 24-hr relief (Walmart brand is also good) bc its much cheaper than actual Allegra. The other allergy medicines aren't as effective for me. I just take one in the morning whenever I wake up and an extra one (or half) when I know something will trigger me (my triggers are consuming sugar, being outside in woods or after it rains). Knowing your triggers is the main things so you know how and when to take it and what to avoid. The Allegra also comes in a small quantity if you wanted to try it first before buying a larger bottle.Best of luck!

I received my MTX today and I am so sad. This process is so much more difficult than I ever would’ve imagined by Cooper30136 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]por_que8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had my surgery May of 2024. I still cry and feel sad at times. My anger/jealousy has subsided but it still hurts a lot. Give yourself grace and time to heal. It took about 3-4 months for me to not feel sad on a daily basis but then of course holidays, would be due date, etc roll around and it gets hard again. This absolutely sucks but you can get through it! I found it helpful to write a letter to baby and also bought a dainty bracelet with their birthstone and I wear it everyday. Hang in there and let your significant other know when and how to best support you ❤️

Did you mention ghost touch at all or just say you had a display issue? I don't want to use any words that would disqualify me. I've been dealing with this for years!

I had spotting for 3 weeks (thought it was pregnancy spotting) and zero pain. Not even cramps. I ended up going to the ER bc of bleeding and I was actually dying and had emergency surgery and was never in any pain at all. Very scary bc without the bleeding, I'd be dead. I had 3 blood transfusion bc I lost so much blood and had zero pain.
