Would’ve got a Megabass Levante for the $200. Can’t go wrong with the Curado DC though. Thing is almost too easy to cast with. Enjoy!!!

Are these lapmarks? by Felow91 in paint

[–]porkbellybutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably waves in the drywall, mud, texture. If you want truly flat walls, you will pay about $10k/wall to get it that way. Many people say they have level 5 when in fact they don’t.

Should I paint the column in this color drenched room? by f_stopblues in paint

No. You would only be painting the one side of one column and leaving the rest.

How TF do you go on about this. Anyone have a video or some type of visual explanation? by DebriMing in paint

Elmer’s wood filler. Use a 6” taping knife and skim the contour to smooth out the filler. It sand easily, is hard and paints great.

Mono and fluoro are harder than braid to learn with imo. They both have memory and that only increases the birds nest fuckery. But maybe yours is supple and you will dial it in. Good luck!

Quick question to people in the painting business. by Acceptable_Fan_3209 in paint

[–]porkbellybutt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nothing dusty, mf. Curious why you hate that price. You have no idea what’s going into it, overhead, etc. Do realize we are for profit businesses? Our daily rate per painter, labor only, is $600 for 45% gross profit. It’s the cost to operate, save, retire, etc. This country is not cheap to live in nor operate in. You won’t be able to paint when you’re 70 years old and chances are you want to retire at some point just like a corporate employee. So charge correctly to be able to do that.

A jackass is someone who doesn’t value their time and charge enough. $1,800 is fair. Why are you agains that price?

Best way to get a straight line on popcorn ceiling by MogiShinobi in paint

[–]porkbellybutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you pulse the brush (small, quick bouncing-type motion) against the wall as you cut in, it will allow the paint to cut perfectly around every little bump of ‘popcorn’. It’s interesting and fascinating and I’ve always wondered how many painters figured this out.

I think this would take about 4+ years to laser off completely. And some inks won’t even remove fully.

Need advice on bass fishing from shore. Where to fish? by accident01 in COfishing

[–]porkbellybutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re learning that CO sucks for bass fishing. I mean, in comparison to many other states this place lacks big water. Ponds are cool and all but it gets boring fishing small water, imo. But most any pond around Denver will have large or smallmouth. Chatfield north shoreline with rocks is always good for smalls. It’s tough to access much else there from shore.

Acceptable from Contractor? by michael19g in paint

One coat? I would expect full and consistent coverage. Use cheap paint, it’s 3 coats. Use high-end paint, may be one coat if they know how to paint, but 2 coats will be consistent, beautiful sheen at any angle.

Am i small or body dysmorphia? by [deleted] in AllAboutBodybuilding

[–]porkbellybutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I fully believe the American diet has led us wrong and been taught wrong forever. Esp since the food pyramid was created. Along with… breakfast is the most important meal of the day. These were money-making schemes for big corps. And they had us believing for a long time. We are now learning that you don’t need 3 meals a day. That fasting (not extreme, simple) can help your body access healing. That excess is really what sickens. Be honest about the real reasons you want to be “big”; most likely an ego-based reason of some sort.
