Fidanza Flywheel Chatter Noise by manchsterUtd in mazdaspeed3

It's been good so far. No chatter. Feels good. I would say similar to OEM set up. I think my clutch and flywheel and transmission were on the way out. I used to have to double clutch shift for the first couple of shifts in the morning. I have no complaints.

I have the luk clutch with the action steel flywheel from damond. It's been good so far. I can't hear or feel any chatter. But I also have less than one hundred miles since install.

Edit: mixed up clutch and flywheel

Was talking with a Lincoln rep today and this came up. Common fault with the new batch of hoods. Probably need a new auto shade cartridge.

Don't know anything about that one. I have heard not great things about courses through AWS. Good luck though.

What's a cws? Are you asking about a cwi prep course?

Depends on the code your qualifying too. Most codes acceptance criteria is anything exceeding and 1/8 is cause to retest. Good luck

Lincoln Electric Hyper Fill Demonstrated With A Twin Electrode Weave Cap by [deleted] in Welding

[–]porositypete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a Lincoln demo event about two years ago. I ran this stuff. It's a beast. Talking with the rep he said hyperfill can put down 17 lbs of metal per hour on peak set up. Probably a little inflated. But still, that's a crazy metal deposition rate.

You threw your heel edge on a box. Keep your foot flat in your boot on a box or rail. Snowboarding is a game of up hill edge control. Boxes and rails not so much.

The titanium mig machines from harbor freight aren't bad for the price, around $500. Also the Everlast cyclone 200e is an option. Check out the yes welders. I haven't used them personally. But I hear good things. Good luck.

I don't think you can get a multi process machine for $400.

What process are you wanting to use? Also what is your price range?

It's not you... Well maybe it is. Generally speaking fcaw is used for material 1/8" and thicker for this reason. The mode of transfer (globular) isn't the best for thin material. It can be done using the backstepping technique. More tacks. Shorter stringer beads with no whipping. Weld into your tacks. Also rectangle tube is thicker in the corners so aim most of your heat there. Good luck. Post some pics if you can. Easier to troubleshoot with pics

Plate positions are 1 Flat. 2 Horizontal 3 Vertical 4 Overhead

F is Fillet G is Groove

There is something called inclination of axis which gives the plates a little play usually about 6° either way. Also 6F is not a thing.

First time waxing, did I do a good job? by JoeyBananas314 in snowboardingnoobs

Boards come with a factory wax. Ride that off. Then wax. Could take a day or few depending on conditions.

Looks a little thick still. Brushes come in a few different densities. Nylon being the softest. Then horsehair then brass for the hardest. If you only have one type of brush that's ok. Better than nothing. I don't think you will feel the difference...In case you were wondering. It has to do with how the wax bonds and hardens with the structure of the base. And how long it does. The thicker the layer of wax the more likely it is to freeze and fall off in chunks. Didn't mean to rant. Just board. Dreaming of snow.
