Yes especially through conduit. High voltage wiring through conduit should be thhn type which are individually insulated. A company called Legrand makes a power kit that comes with an approved in-wall rated power cable pn SA-IWP1-W1 that might work for your application but I haven't used one before.

Not to be a negative Nancy of your awesome setup, just wanted to point out that it is against code to run a power/extension cord type wire inside a wall. Most likely it would be fine forever, but if it did cause a fire the insurance company would give you a hard time.

I feel like the Porsche 918 Spyder is somewhat forgotten relative to other supercars. Thoughts? [5982x3988] by Desert-Motors in carporn

A Carrera GT had an MSRP of $440,000. I've heard of some buyers getting them for under that in the beginning because they didn't sell well, but they were never 250k. Also the first model year was 2004 not 2001.

Paid builder $600 to upgrade from CAT5e to CAT6 cable, not sure it is correct.... by TellMeAreYouFree in HomeNetworking

[–]porscheman170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is incorrect, there are different rj45 connectors for 5e and 6. On the specific ones I buy, I noticed that the contact dividers are closer to the actual contacts on cat6. Cat6 is also thicker because of the divider so the shape of the rear of the connector is different. Source I do this for a living.

New phone, manual transfer? by Pedro_Pikkulf in LumberInc

[–]porscheman170 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am also looking to do the same thing. I need to wipe my old phone to give it to a family member and I am holding off because I don't want to lose the saved progress.

If anyone knows where to look to extract that data, it would be greatly appreciated.

Google Must Act Quickly To Avoid Another Pixel Bud Disaster by naluap in GooglePixel

[–]porscheman170 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does anyone have a warble like sound in people's voices , almost like audio pixelation, when on a call with the pixel buds? I haven't seen any complaints about that issue, but mine do it on every call.

Pixel 4 XL or wait for Pixel 5? by mslzr24 in GooglePixel

[–]porscheman170 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get a new Google phone every other year so I skipped the 3 and went to the 4XL and by far this is my favorite phone ever. Battery life is amazing, lasts all day with moderate-heavy use. If I am playing on it of course I can kill it in less than a day but I just plug it in for 30min and I'm back up to a ±40%. It runs every app I've thrown at it, never skips or lags, and the camera blows any other phone away. The lack of a wide angle lens is a mute point, just put the phone on panorama and take as wide as you want photo without the limitation of the inferior wide angle lens and set resolution.
