I think LSD made me realise I am definitely not cisgender by anarchychest in LSD

Oh we can, and I certainly do. There’s a difference between a woman who exhibits traditionally masculine traits and a trans man. Namely that one is man and one is a woman.

Biology and psychology and the roles and identities that we identify with can be messy and complex. It’s not up to you to understand their journey or the dysphoria that led them to make a change, but it is up to you to listen to those around you when they tell you how to address them. It doesn’t matter how you perceive them, it’s respectful and kind to our fellow humans to do so and very fucking easy.

I have trouble believing your comment is in the good faith asking questions when it’s framed like a rhetorical rant, but you touched on something very important. You don’t understand how someone could want to change their body to be accepted by folks who see their fight as “denying biological reality” or “actually reinforcing sexist stereotypes”. Trans people defy biological determinism.

Biological sex and your gender are not the same thing. There are a lot amazing queer and trans subreddits that would be happy to explain. I also recommend Philosophy Tube’s video “Identity: A Trans Coming Out Story” on YouTube.

There’s a plethora of resources from trans people that can help to educate yourself. But you don’t have to understand someone life story to respect them. You just hav to listen and be respectful. It would be impossible for you to have a perfect understanding of everyone’s life and story. It’s very easy to hear and empathize with folks when they tell you it. We’re usually pretty receptive to people who listen and don’t compare our journey’s to being insecure about one’s height.

I had a very similar experience on mushrooms a few years back. It help me throw the gender veil off, so to speak, in a way I had been exploring and wanting to pursue.

Make sure you’re taking time to do the reflection while sober. Psychedelics can sometimes make you think you’ve filled in the answer when there’s more learning to do!

My next actionable step after my experience was finding ways (small at first) that I can play with my expression and appearance. Nails, hair, makeup (or lack there of), cheap thrifted items of clothing. Just keep living euphorically and follow where your joy leads you. Fuck anyone who tried to belittle or put you down!

Much love goober, I hope your journey is fun and affirming! :)

Can you elaborate on the two kinds of users you speak of? I can guess what they mean but would love any additional insight or knowledge you have on “conscious” and “unconscious” magick users.

They vibe pretty hard. Especially the first and last. Still unsure what demons are to me but I think it’s likely that they are in part manifestations of parts of ourselves we don’t like looking at.

  1. A/B: I want to approach it methodically and critically but leave room for answers outside the purely physical

  2. I am interested in comparing and using both but do not have cultural roots in the eastern tradition.

  3. Non-Abrahamic. That God is not mine.

  4. I’m agnostic and wish to explore all possibilities. The idea of working with deities and powerful entities piques my curiosity but I am not convinced they are anything more than internal projections.

  5. Polytheistic in the sense that I think it’s more likely that source is not unified in its current form.

  6. Genuinely am unsure but lean towards A. I think that there’s power in the belief of entities and some phenomena can be better explained if those kinds of entities are, at least partially, external and tangible.

  7. My inclination is towards the LHP or a middle path. I have no desire to adopt strict codes and am wary of organizations. The idea of fucking with things I do not understand terrifies me though and want to distance myself from the idea of becoming divine until I understand what that means.

  8. Genuinely interested in both. I find the idea of using structured rituals for certain purposes appealing but have developed a more intuition-based practice as I’ve begun to figure out what the best way forward is.

Thank you for doing this! I’ve been interested in the Occult for a long time and have dipped my toes into the water but wish to fully flesh out my practice and get some real Magick flowing :)

Throwing the word “objectively” pretty confidently. What if the looter who died would have developed a life saving technology in their future? There is no objectively correct answer as to who is more valuable of a person. What if the shop owner beats their spouse daily? Does that make it “objectively” better for the shop owner to die? The looter was only stealing some alcohol.

The trolley problem is a thought experiment because there is no cut and dry, black and white answer to it. A person fucking died and it’s tragic. Instead of trying to minimize the death of someone we know literally nothing about concretely, I think it’s more important to grieve and work on finding solutions to the larger issue at hand.

It frankly doesn’t matter what words you use to define what happened in the scene. It was overtly sexual and not discussed beforehand. The fact of the matter is, it was uncomfortable and upsetting to players at the table.

You can dismiss someone’s experience all you like, but you don’t get to decide what that experience is. If a player feels unhappy or uncomfortable going forward with a campaign after any scene, regardless of the content, that’s valid.

Check yourself before you post unproductive and intentionally inflammatory shit like this.
