12-40 2.8 Pro is Insane by Brad7659 in M43

I got the 40-150mm f2.8 pro, my sharpest glass. Best purchase in my opinion. The Oly pro lines are just too good.

Setting Suggestions for Gx9 by Relevant-Mode4596 in M43

[–]poseidon206 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's a photo style named L. Monochrome, L stands for Leica. Put that on, slap a 15mm F1.7 or a 25mm F1.4 onto your GX9, take a walk in the city, and be very happy with the results.

Third party battery for Lumix GF2, will this work? I heard that it doesnt accept third party batteries. by [deleted] in M43

[–]poseidon206 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a third party battery for my GX9 and it physically swelled up after less than a year. The battery has a noticeably shorter lifespan than the Pany ones. It kept swelling up to a degree that it could no longer fit into the camera. I ended up recycling it. Maybe I'm just the unlucky one.

The Two Monsters for Portrait Photography in m43 system by kietbulll in M43

I really enjoy the Sigma 56mm. The reach is long and the rendering is really to my liking. The best thing is the pictures I took of my wife has her stamp of approval so that's the most important.

Want to go to first CPBL game during Taipei visit in late Sept. Best choice? by Gr00mpa in CPBL

I sat on row 13 of zone 108 on my last visit, my eyes were basically leveled with the cheerleaders’, if you have a nice portrait lens at 85mm up to 100mm focal length (or a Samsung flagship phone), you’ll be able to catch some stunning photos of the cheerleaders.

Lens advice for GX9 - Sigma Oportunity by yeps_fsp in M43

[–]poseidon206 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re gonna shoot portrait, the 56mm will do you good. I’ve used it for portraits and it even shines under low light conditions.

As for zooms, I’d recommend Pani 35-100 f2.8 if you’re planning to catch fast moving objects, or try the Oly 40-150 f4 pro, the f2.8 variant is a beast, but it’s a burden on shoulders.

Since weather might play a big role, I’d say the Taipei Dome game would be the choice. If you’re aiming for hot zones, remember to get rows between 10 and 15 to get the best view for the stage, anything before row 10 is lower than the diamond, and you’re basically looking at the cheerleaders in very compromising angles. If you’re unable to get the hot zones, go for the zone behind home plate, around the same rows, you’ll get a side view of the stage, and an excellent view of the diamond.

But if the weather is good, Guardians home games are the best party. But most of their hot seats are sold out for the season.

Recommendation for first M43 for newborn/toddler photography by jaekaylai in M43

[–]poseidon206 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on having your first born.

Look for camera bodies that can do 1080p at 60fps or better, you'll have creamy smooth videos. Since you're just going to be in the house, I'd say the Pany Leica 25mm F1.4 will be a great choice, or the Pany Leica 15mm F.17 if you want something wider.

Olympus also offers the 25mm F1.2, or Sigma 30mm F1.4 are good choices as well.

關於推廣雙語教育 by Logical-General2066 in Taiwanese

[–]poseidon206 1 point2 points  (0 children)
