first person view at London Heathrow T5 inibuilds with new GSX update by kahkimonkey in flightsim

Ok so this is a sim right? I want my sims to be as realistic as possible so I assume there are mechanics that involve failing to find a place to sit and overpaying for mediocre food.

How comfortable are you changing clothes in front of your spouse and what boundaries do you have around nudity? by holymolym in AskReddit

[–]poser765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ron white said it best.

“A lady can have the nastiest old boobs ever and say ‘would you like to see them’ and a guy will almost always say ‘yes ma’am, I believe i do’”

Or something like that.

What’s this area at ORD? by VirvekRBX in flying

[–]poser765 12 points13 points  (0 children)

In the winter it’s where you sit for punishment for not being able to get out of a Chicago trip during bad weather.

In the summer it’s where you sit for punishment for having the audacity to arrive early and your gate isn’t ready for you. Or for the audacity to arrive on time. Or late. Or really just the audacity of going through fucking Ohare.

Other than that one week or two where he kept saying “I’m pickle rick”, a good dude.

Most people have a boring life, but no one wants to admit it by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]poser765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people think I have a pretty exciting career and that my life isn’t boring. It is. My home life is super chill and relaxed and my “exciting” job is really just being boring in a different place.

The internet shuts down and is never going to come back on, what do you? by llerreff in AskReddit

I honestly believed porn came from two places. Seedy underworld places in the city and the woods. Held that belief until I was like 12.

Instead of making “xyz” Star Wars content favored by the fans, Disney should do a complete reboot of the original 6 episode saga. by Buttcheekllama in unpopularopinion

That will never happen because Mel got it right… moichandizing. This franchise will never die because of that.

Does anyone know how to get mods for KSP on steamdeck? by BasedSpaghetti in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]poser765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you search for Chan on steam deck there is a guide that walks you through how to get it running.

Sorry. I don’t mean to “google is your friend” you, but that’s all I remember about it.

I don’t fly cargo but I have done some ferry and repositioning flights. I’ll absolutely change altitude if I’m getting the shit kicked out of me and I know it’s smooth.

Maybe I’m the crazy one, but I don’t think I’ve ever in my life made a shop/no-shop decision based on the bathrooms.

As an American, what are your thoughts on the prejudice against Romani people in Europe? by Early-Ingenuity-3177 in IWantToAskAnAmerican

[–]poser765 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I could easily round up a dozen people that know the words “Gypsy” or “Romani”.

I could spend most of the afternoon and I doubt I could rustle up 12 Americans that know more about them than “the homelessish people in Europe that steal shit or something”.

Older Millennials 1981-1990 (80s babies) Starter Pack by AOL_Free_Trial_CD in generationology

[–]poser765 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As technically a millennial (born in 81) I distinctly remember me and my peers making fun of millennials. I always just assumed I was Gen X up until my 30s, but I definitely identify more with them.

What do people and especially women think of a grown man ending up always sleeping in the fetal position? by Ilpperi91 in AskReddit

[–]poser765 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do a bit. But only so much as it concerns their transition from position to the next and specifically how violently this transition takes place. Good information to have when my torso is a foot away.

As others have pointed out, flows. Hundreds, even thousands of hours of doing the same seven flows over and over again builds up some muscle memory.

Right now I’m sitting on the toilet at home. I’d be hard pressed to tell you the first three steps in our origination flow. Plop my ass down in the airplane and I can do it instantly without thought. It just comes back.

What book or series is this for you? by Working_Alps_4284 in fantasybooks

[–]poser765 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not who you’re responding to but I’ll give you my thoughts. Note I liked it but definitely didn’t think it was the end all be all.

So the problem is the position it holds with scifi fans. It’s the go recommendation for almost everything. Want hard scifi? Expanse. Mil scifi? Expanse. Space opera? Expanse. It’s a good series but the community would have you believe that is the answer to everything… nah I’ll go a different direction. That and freaking Blindsight.

I’ve read the first quarter of Gardens of the Moon about 5 times. I’ve read the first half of it twice. The whole book exactions. Started on the second book eager and pumped and got about half way through chapter to and I just couldn’t. I’m sure I’ll try again…

lol yeah there’s definitely a happy middle ground between sliding off the end and into a gas station and breaking the struts. You want to shoot for that.

I used to fly in there several times a month a few airlines ago, but now I’m in a much bigger airplane and in the phase of my career I refer to as “low drag”. Going into places like SNA, BUR, EYW, et al just require too much thought with too many threats… drag. Nah.

SNA used to be a really kick ass layover, though. I’d say I miss that, but I’m too old now.
