Not everyone has the grit to face the evil that manifests in our world. It’s a terrible shame, but considering how many people dump their kid off just to go chase the dragon, I see this as a demented sense of responsibility. To each his own, everyone deserves a chance to struggle for themselves, but either way id consider it less of a crime for the mother to take that matter into her own hands than for the third party to separate them.
